~○Part 3○~
Note: This is the last part for Chapter 2. Also comments would be appreciated, thanks : D!
"So.." Payne glanced at John and Georges with a bored expression. "Is there a reason you guys are the losers of the highschool hierarchy?"
"Well we used to have a bigger friend group and that was pretty much our only friends, but..it split and when it did we didn't have any other friends so..here we are, Loser city," John shrugged as he then bit into an apple. "Population of 2, now 3."
"It really doesn't make any sense.." Georges complained quietly as he grudgingly ate his sandwich. "I do everything the popular kids do. I follow all the trends. I have the best hair in school. I'm good looking according to my parents.."
"That's because they don't like you," John reminded him. "From the words of Starr: We don't need an insecure loser following us around. If we wanted that, we would buy a puppy, at least it would be cute."
"I know what she said.." Georges huffed.
"I think about it everyday.." He then muttered.
"Who's Starr?" Payne then questioned, though from his tone it seemed he already didn't seem fond of her.
"Okay, look this way," John turned his head, facing him in the direction of a heavily populated table. It seemed as if everything centered around it. "You can practically consider that table the sun. The people are the hottest thing here and everything revolves around the people at that table. It's the popular crowd if that's what you like to call it. The one in the middle is Starr. The 2 around her are her main friends. They're practically the 'Plastics' of our school."
"Starr is like the Regina George..expect I doubt she's human," Georges then mumbled. "She seems more demon than human."
"More angel you mean," John corrected with his same wisecracking grin. He came to relax his head on his arm. He was staring at Starr with a dreamy look in his eye, "She's beautiful and she's cool. I'd kill you both if that's what it took just for her to even talk to me. Heck, she could even spit in my face and I'd call it a holy miracle."
Payne and Georges exchanged looks of concern and disgust.
"Just know not to mess with her, she's a total bitch.." Georges whispered into Payne's ear. "..I would know, I experienced it first hand."
Payne nodded his head as he glanced at Starr again with a glare.
"Then there's the eternal beauty, Susan Reynolds," John then explained as he pointed her out as the girl besides Starr. "Prettiest girl in school."
"And I'm the prettiest guy..yet somehow I don't get the same respect.." Georges crossed his arms as he sighed.
"So what's her deal?" Payne then questioned as he then eyed her.
"Oh she lives with some family here. Her mom and dad were involved in a scandal with Mr Hamilton from the Hamilton Post, so they don't live here. Though her mom moved her here for better schooling. That's about as much as I know," John shrugged.
Payne nodded once again to signal he understood. He then turned his head to stare at the last girl. At the moment she was tossing a ball up and down in her hand while she glanced around the cafeteria. She had on a gleaming smile and for a moment Payne just couldn't help but stare at her brown eyes and then her brown hair. Then for a short moment he thought her eyes had met his, though they turned away just as quickly.
"What about her?" Payne asked with a tint of curiosity in his voice.
"Oh Angelica?" John questioned as he followed the gaze of Payne.
