Aaron and Payne just trudged back to their apartment complex in silence, both thinking about the earlier encounter. The confrontation.

"Why?" Payne then suddenly asked, his question breaking the nightly silence. "Why didn't you punch him or do something? Why?"

Aaron just kept walking as he himself wondered the same thing. I mean he decided not to, but why. He could have settled things then and there probably.

"I don't know honestly.." Aaron finally confessed as he turned to look towards Payne.

They walked quietly again, eventually reaching Payne's apartment.

"What about talking less and striking first?" Payne then questioned as he just had his hand resting on the door handle to his apartment.

"Payne, I really don't know.." Aaron just gave him a clueless shrug. Aaron knew he hadn't taken most of the messages of the dojo to heart. He was honestly scared of turning back into the old him. The one who had been cold, manipulative, and calculated. The one that had listened to everything King George said. He had tried to make his own interpretation of the dojo's messages to make them better. Though if he was going to teach those messages he needed to also live by them.

"I guess we both have some learning to do," Payne then commented as he finally unlocked the door to his apartment.

"I guess we do," Aaron agreed as he crossed his arms. "I guess I'm still learning what I'm teaching myself."

Payne nodded as he then began to enter his apartment, but he paused as he seemingly had something else he wanted to say.

Payne then turned back around, "Also Mr. Burr, whoever that man was, I don't really care, I just want you to know I don't believe him."

"I guess I am teaching you something right then after all," Aaron joked with a slight smile. "But seriously Payne, thanks."

Payne smiled as well before closing the door with a "Good night, sir."

"Good night," Aaron had responded back.

"Let's see.." Dolley foraged through Payne's closet for the perfect outfit. Payne was just laying on his bed, as he watched his mom.

"How about this!" Dolley finally turned around with the outfit she selected, holding it out in front of her. It was a multi-colored suit "Nice right? A little fancy with a touch of pizazz and some sprinkles of color!" She beamed as she lightly shook the suit for Payne to see.

"Mom, it's a halloween party," Payne voiced, his tone not even hiding his refusal. "That suit looks like it was spit on by a rainbow."

"I think it looks nice," Dolley examined the suit herself. "You could go as the handsome young gentleman, who has been hiding his artistic talents in order to fit the norms of society, and finally decides to not suppress them anymore."

Dolley just smiled as she shook the suit again though Payne just had a face of 'not gonna happen.'

"Mom, put the suit away," Payne just dismissed.
