King Cobra: The Epilogue
Alex and Pierre got in the car once the tournament ended. Alex started up the engine, which filled up the silence where a lot needed to be said.
Pierre looked down, as he nurtured his arm. He released a heavy sigh.
"Hey.." Alex turned to him as he began to pull out of the parking lot. "..you tried, and that is all that matters."
"But we lost," Pierre pointed out. "We failed. King Cobra won."
Alex just looked at him with a smile. He found his worry and concern amusing.
"Why are you smiling?" Pierre noted. "Aren't you concerned? I mean, King Cobra has been your enem-"
"Pierre, they didn't win," Alex shook his head. "Sure, they won this. Sure, Your dad and his student won the tournament. But you won the hearts of many. And people see King Cobra for who they really are. So they won the battle..but they haven't truly won the war."
"But my dad-" Pierre clenched his fist. "He just makes me so angry- I could just-"
"Hey, hey, hey," Alex put a hand on his shoulder. "None of that. Look, I know me and your dad...aren't not on best terms. I know you don't see him in the best light, but at the end of the day you're lucky to even have a dad."
"Yeah, right," Pierre grumbled as he leaned his head against the car window.
"I'm serious," Alex assured him. "I never had a dad. You do. And what you did with the letter, the connection you're trying to make..keep building it. Sure, I hate him, but that's between me and him. Don't let that affect you. He isn't a villain or monster, Pierre. He's your dad."
Pierre was silent as he just reflected on that.
After a while he said, "You're right."
"He is my dad," Pierre conferred. "And he did send me a note and money after all...but I don't know how or when we'll fix things....anyways, what did you mean by they didn't win the war?"
Alex smirked. His eyes were filled with a determined fire. "Oh Pierre, you're so naive. Let's just say...the war has just begun."

Angelica walked into her father's dojo. It had been ages since she had been there.
She took her time to look around, trying to tell if anything had changed.
Same place. Same emotions.
Yet, she wasn't the same person. The last thing she was here, she was a whole lot younger and a whole lot...well spirited for karate.
Her brother had been there with her too.
"Let's do this," Alex instructed the two siblings.
"Oh ya! I'm so ready!" Philip skipped up and down.
"Me too! Me too!" Angelica quipped eagerly.
"Let's see.." Alex tapped his chin. "Let's do something easy first. How about some stretching?"
"Stretching?!" They said simulareously.
"But that's so boringggg," Angelica whined.
"And I want to do actually karate!" Philip exclaimed. He then did his best attempt at a karate chop. "I want to fight!"
