It was Saturday morning and I had a plan to create an investigative board with what

I already found out. One thing I knew was Daisy was getting money or was she paid off?

She told me she worked as a cleaner in this motel one time. I don't know much about

motel management but they certainly don't pay their workers in thousands by the hour.

Maybe Hope knew. It was worth a try at least.

Wait, today was Saturday..

I had almost forgot about the date with Katelyn and since tomorrow was Sunday I

would have to go to Church then back home. Crap.

It wasn't until now I realized how busy I used to be. Piano and French on Mondays,

Thursdays and Friday. Then on the Weekend I would go to the Library and Church. I

really needed to have my best friend missing to see that I barely had time for her even

when we were at school. And even then I blew her off.

I'm so sorry Daisy but I promise when this is all over we'll hang out more... and I'll

even bring Leo along.

It would be a while since Katelyn came to pick me up so I decided to check Daisy's

Instagram timeline just in case she posted anything before she disappeared. It made no

sense but I watched this movie where the girl would only post depressing shit until she

vanished. The only difference in this scenario was she ran away and posted the things she

wanted to see. Daisy had things she wanted to see but knowing her she would have

dragged me along. Involuntary no doubt.

I reached her page and there were only a few pictures of her. Mostly scenery and

pictures of her shoes or room. Odd. There was one of us. The three of us and the beach,

Me, Leo and Raine. With the caption. One of the best days ever.

I remember it well. Leo begged us to go with him but he had no car so Hope drove

us there. I remember the smell. I closed my eyes, hearing the sound on the radio, the

talking and Daisy shaking me to wake up.

"Zack...get up" I opened my eyes and saw her sitting next to me in the car.

The sound of the ocean was not so far. From the window I could almost see the

glittering water if it wasn't for the trees. The radio was playing Tears for Fears...I think. I

looked at Leo who was sitting in the front seat with his head hanging out the window like

a little puppy. He must have gotten motion sickness again. At the front seat Hope was

wearing her shades on and her hair was tied up in a messy bun with pieces still blowing

in her face. Then there was Daisy, sitting next to me, feet cocked up on the seat. And

purple hair?

"What?" she looked at me

"Uh nothing..." she always caught me staring for all the wrong reasons.

"Are you excited? I think I'm gonna collect some seashells and clams." she smiled

and Leo gagged a little.
