Haji walked briskly through the apartment heading to the stairs to his room, hopping to miss the delightful scolding from Kakashi. He got to the first step when...
"Haji," he froze, mentally stabbing himself, his dad sounded angry.
He looked over from the corner of his eyes to see Kakashi sitting on the couch with his arms crossed. He glanced at the stairs getting ready to sprint up them to get to his room, but Kakashi already knew his plans long before Haji thought of them, he had Pakkun sitting at the top of the stairs. Haji flinched seeing the small dog, "Nice to see you again, kid," Pakkun said raising his paw in a hello gesture. Haji cursed under his breathe and stomped to an empty lounge chair away from the couch where Kakashi analyzed him. Pakkun came down the stairs and jumped on Haji's lap.
"Haji," Kakashi started, Haji didn't look at him, just crossed his arms over his chest, like Kakashi, and glared at the stairs. " For you to be a successful shinobi Haji you have to trust your comrades, that means speaking to them," Haji still didn't budge, not even to take a glance at Kakashi.
Pakkun looked up at Haji, "Kid?" he asked worried.
Kakashi sighed for the third time today, "So now you're giving me the silent treatment?" Silence, "Fine. You're grounded, no more drawing or training unless it involves the team," Haji's eyes widened, but only Pakkun could see it happen. "You're being a baby Haji!" His eyes now turned sad, but he still refused to look at Kakashi.
Kakashi just sat there waiting, hoping, for a response, but when none came he got up and left, slamming the door in the process.
Haji looked down at Pakkun who stared up at him with a strange emotion in his expression, but Haji dismissed it. He placed his hand on Pakkun's head and scratched behind his ear, than before Pakkun could say anything, Haji pressed chakra into his hand releasing the summoning, sending Pakkun away.
Later when Kakashi came back he found all of Haji's drawings, art supplies, and all his ninja gear scattered throughout the living room in neat piles. Going up to Haji's room, he cracked open the door to see Haji asleep, so he shut the door and went to bed himself. However, Haji wasn't asleep but remained awake staring at the wall.
Early the next day
Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke all sat and stood in the training fields waiting for Kakashi and Haji to show up. It was already a few hours passed the time they were supposed to meet and there was no sign of the Hatake's of showing up.
Sakura looked up in her irritated state, "What's that?" there was a black figure jogging, slowly, towards the fields, as it got closer it was clear who it was. "Haji! Where have you been?!" Sakura cheered as she jumped up to greet the boy. The other two looked over, "Eh?"
As he got closer you could see he wasn't carring any weapons, nor any sign of the things he would normally carry. He had dark circles up his eyes and he had bed head as one side of his head the hairs stood up and culred slightly from their normal straight structure. Haji's eyes dropped slightly.
"Di-did you over sleep Haji?" Sakura questioned, blushing from Haji's sleepy stated. He nodded, as he flopped down on his but onto the grass. Sasuke and Naruto stared at Haji with wonder, neither had ever seen him like this. Sakura squatted down by him, "Do you mind if I fix your hair?" He leaned his head up so she could fix it.
Sakura combed her fingers through his hair fixing his hair as best as she could.
"Good morning, class!" Kakashi showed up waving at them.
Naruto and Sakura shot up, "YOU'RE LATE!" they shouted.
Kakashi sweat-dropped, than glanced at Haji, he was slouched over a fraction his eyes never looking up from the grass.
