The Time Gato Became Known

Haji awoke slowly, it was 3 days after he had passed out. He would've woken up sooner, but the blood lose and the energy it takes to keep up the transformation justu, it took him longer to heal. It was night time when he opened his eyes, he turned his head to each side to see no one else in the room, than he heard muffled voices coming from downstairs. Haji stood up, wincing slightly as he moved his arms, pushing on them for support. Haji wobbled with dizziness, not from blood lose but from the medicine Tsunami gave him for the pain, he got to the door and proceeded to the stairs.

"-real fun! I can't remember the last time I shared a meal with so many people!" Came Tazuna's voices.

Haji got to a corner and looked around it to see Naruto and Sasuke shoveling food down their throats, yelling "More, please!" than throwing it up.

"Stop eating if you're just gonna hurl it back up!" Sakura screeched.

Sasuke wiped his mouth, "... No, I wanna eat."

Naruto turned around, "Because even if we make ourselves sick to do it, We have to eat if we want to get strong!"

Sakura stands up and looks at a torn picture within a frame dismissing the previous argument. "um, why is this picture torn? Little Inari was looking at this the whole time we were having dinner, someone's face is completely gone. is that deliberate?"

"...It's my husband..."

"Once upon a time, if you will our entire city called him a hero..." Tazuna began.

Inari got up from the table and headed to the door ignoring his mothers calls. "Father! I've told you time and again not to mention that in front of my son!" she chases after Inari.

Haji heads back upstairs not wanting to hear the sad tale and decides to climb out a window, placing a doppelganger in his bed before leaving. Despite the pain in his arms and aches throughout his body protesting, wanting him to rest there was something he needed to do.

When they first encountered Zabuza and Haji seen the boy in the mask he knew they were partners, so, he placed a simple sealing on the boy without him knowing using his eyes. When they made eye contact that is when the sealing had begun, it was placed into the boys eyes, no pain nor acknowledgment to it. Now Haji knows where he is and decided he's pay the hideout a visit.

Heading deeper into the woods, he came across the hideout. Glancing around,making sure no one was around, he whispered, "Kieru," he was now invisible. Haji snuck in, he headed to the voices expecting to find Gato, Zabuza and the boy there, but ended up finding something more interesting.

He waltzed through the open door as the short man complained about his broken arm and how he doesn't trust Zabuza and Haku. So...that's his name... He listened to their conversation coming to find out that Gato was planning on betraying the two once the ambushed the bridge builder and Haji's team. Haji glared at Gato and walked out of the room looking for the demon of the mist and Haku.

Many doors down Haku was talking to Zabuza, Haji couldn't walk in without them noticing the door opening so he went back outside and climbed to their window. He opened it slightly, so he could hear the conversation better. Haku was getting ready to leave to go get more medical herbs for Zabuza, he let down his hair and had already changed his outfit. That's when Haji realized it was getting lighter outside as the sun started to rise, it was morning now.

"You could use some fresh air, Zabuza, I'll open the window," Haku came to the window, hardly noticing it already being cracked open, and opened it all the way and left.

Haji climbed through the window and studied Zabuza, he was bedridden but was just about better, maybe a doy or two and the ambush would admince. Suddenly the door opened, Gato and his body gaurds walked in.

"Where's your brat at Zabuza?" he questioned wobbling over to his bedside as he layed their, he was getting ready to touch Zabuza just like he had down before causing Haku to break his arm. Haji transformed into Haku in the outfit he wore when he left and jumped in between the two and gripped his arm that was reaching out, which wasn't the broken one, and squeezed in warning.

"Do you want this one to be broken as well?" he glared at Gato, he shuddered in fear trying to get out of his grip, "than I suggest you stay out of this room."

He let go of his arm and they ran out. "Why are you back so soon, Haku? I can handle myself." Haji looked over at Zabuza, he was glaring, but their was a softness to it. Haji released the transformation justu transforming back to himself staring blankly at Zabuza. Zabuza stiffened, ready to shot up from his bed.

"Don't get up," Haji stated as he turned to the window, "I'm not hear to kill you, just information." He began to climb out the window looking back at Zabuza, who was now sitting up, "Don't worry I wont tell anyone your whereabouts. See at the ambush." and he was gone.

Haji got up to the window of his temporary room that he shared with his father, making sure no one else was inside he went back in. Releasing the shadow clone and fell asleep exhausted.
