luke just looks cute in that gif, idk

"This is a nice car..." Luke said, awkwardly as we got in the car. I had overreacted, kind of, when I realized that Ali might be planning on going back with Michael. She wasn't making a very big effort to change, and it was pissing me off. Luke had never really been around me when I was in a bad mood, so he was just acting very politely and although I appreciated that, I was still annoyed.

"Yeah, thanks." I rolled my eyes and sighed, not wanting to be rude.

"So, you like frozen yogurt?" Luke asked me and I looked over at him.

"No, I just ate it for a year straight because I hate it."

"Okay, stupid question. I apologize."

"No, you're fine." I sighed and rubbed my face.

"Lauren, keep your hands on the steering wheel, babe..." Luke said, pulling my hands back down to the wheel gently.

"Sorry, sorry." I sighed, again, and kept my eyes on the road.

"You know, you get mad really easily..."

"No, I didn't know that. Thanks for telling me."

"Lauren..." I looked at him.

"I'm sorry. I'm not actually mad at you... please don't take offense to any of what I'm saying." I stopped at a red light and Luke leaned over and kissed my cheek. My eyes widened and I looked over at him. "Why'd you do that?" I asked him and he shrugged.

"I thought it would calm you down. It's a gesture of care, I care for you, and that should make you calm down."

"People kissing me on the cheek makes me want to punch them, so thanks."

"Well, sorry." Luke sighed and looked out his window. "How many times a week do you get kissed on the cheek?"

"You would be surprised, my friend. I mean, Ashton kissed me on the cheek not even a day ago..." I faded out of my sentence, after realizing what I was saying. "I'm kidding. You know, sarcasm?"

"What?" Luke asked and looked over at me, slowly.

"I was kidding."

"No, you weren't. When have you hung out with Ashton?" he asked me and I really wish I wasn't stuck at the slowest red light in all of Florida.

"It wasn't a big deal, you guys left him-"

"I knew we left him at that bar! You picked him up?" I groaned and nodded.

"I wasn't going to, but I was trying to be nice..."

"I knew you'd end up being his friend."

"I'm not his friend! At all." Luke rolled his eyes at me and smiled.

"Just tell me about your meet up with Ash." He crossed his arms and I rolled my eyes.

"He just called me..."

"Uh-huh, and?"

"And then he was kind of drunk, and he needed a ride, because you guys left him and he was alone. I wasn't going to give him a ride, because it was like two in the morning-"

"Wait! You lied to me." I furrowed my eyebrows and then widened them, slightly. "Lauren!" Luke whined and I sighed. "You always lie to me and tell me you're busy. You'd be an awful girlfriend!"

"Hey, that's not nice!" I said and crossed my arms.

"It's true." Luke crossed his arms, mocking me. I looked at him and started to laugh. "What?"
