I sat in the dark with Walt. It felt like it had been an hour, but when I looked at my phone, it had only been five minutes. I had ended the call with Louis and Harry, I needed my phone power. I had set my phone in the middle of Walt and I and turned the flash light on so we could see each other.
"Are you sure you're okay?" Walt asked me for the third time and I looked at him and shook my head.
"I hate elevators. Fuck elevators." I said and held my knees up to my chest tightly so I wouldn't shake so bad.
"It's going to be okay." he said and looked at me with pity. He's phone started ringing and he picked it up and looked at it. "And the girlfriend finally calls." he said and pressed a button on his phone. I put my head down on my knees, waiting for him to start talking to his girlfriend. After a little while of him not saying anything, I looked over at him.
"Not going to answer?" I asked him.
"No, I'm done with her." he said and rubbed his face. "Two years of being yelled at is enough." he said and my eyes widened.
"You have been dating her for two years?" I asked him.
"Four... haven't you had a long relationship?" he said and I shook my head.
"Four? And you're just giving up? Oh, and relationships and me don't go along very well." I said and he looked at me.
"Why do you say that?" he asked, ignoring my question.
"Because the longest one I've had was about a year and I was being cheated on the entire time, yet the guy still 'cares' for me." I said and thought back to when Dalton had kissed me at the movie theater and then thought about Austin. Oh, God... Austin... "The reasons I called you Dalt earlier was because his name was Dalton and he thought Dalt sounded cool." I said and he looked at me.
"The guy sounds like a total jerk." he said and I smiled a little. "How about the guy your dating now?"
"Well, if it can be between you and me, he's famous and his name is Louis Tomlinson. I don't know if yo-"
"Louis Tomlinson? Oh my God... you mean you're Lauren Hanson?" he asked me and I nodded. "Wow... small world." he said and I laughed a little. "You look even prettier in real life." he said and I started to feel myself blush.
"Yeah, well, thanks." I said and he smiled.
"My niece loves One Direction and you are like her role model." he said and I laughed. "Is that weird to think about?" he asked me and I nodded.
"I'm not the famous one." I said.
"Don't you have a YouTube?"
"Are you sure you didn't know I was Lauren Hanson?" I asked him and he laughed.
"I thought you looked familiar, but it didn't click. And before I could get a good look, the lights went out." The emergency lights randomly turned on. "Little late." he said, talking to the lights. I laughed a little and started to tense up a little again. "I've actually seen some of your YouTube videos, you're really good at singing." I started to feel my cheeks warm up.
"Thank you... so, how old is this niece?"
"She's fourteen," he said and I started to wonder how old he was.
"Do you have older siblings?" I asked him and he nodded.
"Yeah, my youngest sister is fifteen, she's like best friends with my niece and then my oldest sister is thirty-six and my oldest brother is twenty-seven." he said and I was hoping he would tell me his age. "I'm twenty-one... I go to the college that's about a mile or two away from here, so the University of Florida... I'm sorry I'm giving you so much detail." he said and laughed.
