I stared at my phone, hoping Briley would call back. How did she even get my number? My phone started ringing and I answered quickly.

"Hello?" I asked, eager.

"Hey. It's Kylie... I left my phone in your car." she said and I sighed.

"I'll go get it... just meet me by my car." I said and ended the call. "Luke, get your shit together. You can't act like you hate this girl, you kissed her less than an hour ago." I told myself and got off the couch. I walked out of the room and down the hall. I walked down the stairs and out of the door. I walked to my car and Kylie was waiting by it. "That was fast."

"Yeah, well." she said and I unlocked the door. She quickly opened the door and grabbed her phone. "Thanks." she said and started walking away.

"Oh...okay. Yeah, no problem." I said and sighed. She turned around and sighed.

"Do you happen to not have two people making out in your room? I really need to study." she said and I nodded. "Come with me to get my stuff?" I locked my car back and followed her up to her dorm. When she opened the door, I saw a familiar face making out with another familiar face.

"Luke?!" Kylie looked over at the couple that were now separated from one another.

"Oh... hey Luke." Nick waved at me and I waved at him.

"You know Luke?" Nick and Sandra asked each other at the same time.

"Yeah... I use to date Jack. Luke knows me." Sandra said and smiled at me.

"Yeah... I'm glad you're no longer creepy." I said and she looked at me, taken aback.

"Let's go, Luke." Kylie said as she grabbed her backpack. She pulled me out of the room by my arm and shut the door. "Don't call people creepy, it's rude."

"She tried to do a seance my dead goldfish!" I said and Kylie laughed.

"She's not like that anymore."

"Well, she wasn't like that when Jack first met
her." I said. "People change."

"Well, let's be hopeful." she said and I rolled my eyes. We got out of her dorm building and walked to mine.

"So, what are you studying for?" I asked her.

"I have a test in my American History class."

"I could help you! I almost minored in American History." I said and Kylie hugged me.

"This is why I love you." she said and I laughed.
My phone started ringing and I answered it.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hi... it's Briley, yeah, I was just calling to make sure you didn't think I was a complete creeper for knowing- I mean having your number in my phone. Oh and my friends are total losers... I don't know what they told you, but none of it's true." She rambled on. I laughed and unlocked my dorm door. Kylie walked in and looked around. "You don't think I'm a creep, right?"

"No, of course not." I said and she sighed of relief.

"Who is it?" Kylie asked and I covered her mouth. Kylie looked at me questioningly and I waved it off.

"Oh... I'll let you go. Bye, Luke."

"No, Briley, wait-" I got cut off by the ringing of a beep. She had ended the call.

"Briley...?" Kylie asked me and laughed. "Oh my God! Are you kidding me?"

"What? No. I mean, Briley? Why did you say that?"
