Ali's POV

"Are you okay?" Briley asked me while I was driving to our parents house.

"Yeah, why? Do I not seem okay? Do I seem nervous? Damn it."

"Whoa. Slow your roll. What's going on?"

"Nothing." I said and continued to drive straight.

"Are you sure?" she asked me.

"No, I'm positive."

"Okay... so, what do they think about Jack?" she asked me. I bit my tongue and ignored her. "I knew it. I wasn't the only one who thought you were still with Niall."

"You didn't tell them, right?"

"No... but I did think they already knew. Why is it such a big deal?" she asked me.

"Because! I did the same thing I did all throughout high school..."

"Yeah, kind of... but, Ali, you Jack are different than you and the rest of your boyfriends." she said and I looked at her.

"How so?" I asked.

"I can actually feel the love radiating off both of you. It's disgusting, but... I know that you really like him." she said and I smiled.

"Well, I do... I really do."

"And he really loves you back." She smiled at me and looked out the window. "You're lucky to have him."

"Briley..." I said with a sigh. We hadn't really talked about her and Noah much, but it has obviously been bothering her.

"No, really, you are." she said and looked at me. "I thought I was lucky with Noah... but I wasn't." she said with a smile. "He just wasn't my Jack."

"Okay, are we talking about Titanic Jack Dawson? Or college student Jack Taylor?" I asked and Briley laughed.

"Either one." I smiled and she looked down at her lap. "When I met Luke I thought he could be my Jack." she said and I looked at her. I opened my mouth to speak, but she cut me off. "I know that technically isn't legal, you know... considering I'm not eighteen and he's twenty... I was just saying. He's a nice guy. It was a silly thought and I just wanted to be with exactly that... a nice guy."

"Noah was-"

"Yeah, let's not finish that sentence. He wasn't a nice guy... he was a Dalton. Oh my God, he was such a Dalton." she said and I laughed a little. "I just want a Jack so badly."

"Well, you can't have mine."

"I wish I could. He wouldn't impregnate me at age sixteen." she said and sighed.

"Hey, sometimes teens make great moms."

"Yeah, no." she said and rubbed her face. "I cannot wait to have this thing and then go to college."

"Hey, that 'thing' has feelings... well, it will." I said and she rolled her eyes.

"Maybe I'll just give my baby to you and Jack, you'll be married by then I'm sure. Freaking perfect couples..." she said under her breath.

"Yeah, I doubt that."

"You shouldn't, because it's going to happen." she said and I rolled my eyes. I turned onto the street my parents house was located and my heart started to beat.

"You know what? I'm just going to drop you off." I said and Briley looked at me.

"They already know you're coming." she said and I sighed. "They're not going to kill you for having a boyfriend." I turned into the driveway and slowly turned the car off. Briley got off and I opened the trunk so she could get her bag out of it. I got out of the car and as soon as she closed the trunk, I locked it.
