"So, where do you want to go first?" Jack asked me as we drove away from the dorms. I shrugged and continued to buckle my seatbelt.

"What the heck is wrong with this thing?!" I asked, trying to get it to click in place. Jack simply took the seatbelt and locked it in place. "Oh."

"Do you want to go see a movie? Go shopping? Go to a library..?"

"I don't care." I said and laid my head against the seat.

"That's what I get for asking a very indecisive person to make a decision." Jack said and I rolled my eyes.

"I'm not that indecisive. And besides, I'm just tired, I don't care what we do. I mean, I'd rather not go to a library." I said and reached for the radio.

"It's broken." he said and I sighed.

"Great." I said and rubbed my eyes.

"Are you okay?" he asked me.

"Yeah, why?"

"You just seem a little... different."

"Maybe I'm just a different person. We haven't hung out that much."

"Lauren. Just because I'm dating your best friend does not mean I'm ignoring you." he said, the tone of his voice annoyed.

"Okay..." I said.

"Why can't we just go hangout like we did last year? Who cares that I'm dating Ali."

"That's not the only thing bugging me." I said and sighed. "This year just sucks."

"How so?" he asked me.

"Well, I was dating a celebrity, but then I broke up with him because Ricky made me a wreck and now Luke hates me."

"Luke doesn't hate you."

"Maybe I should just hang out with Nick from Drama... he has no connection to Ali... he isn't a liar."

"Are you calling me a liar now?" he asked me and I sighed.

"No, I'm just stating a fact... he isn't."

"Do I need to go get Luke and Ricky up so this little 'date' can be like old times?"

"No, because Ricky made me a wreck and Luke hates me..." I said and looked down at my phone. I had a text from Tanner, I quickly opened it.

"Again, he doesn't hate you." Jack said and stopped at a red light. "Who texted you?"

"Tanner."

"What did he say?" Jack asked. I looked up at him.

"Nosey much?" I asked and he rolled his eyes. "It's my dad's birthday tomorrow... he just wanted to see if I wanted to come visit."

"Oh." Jack said and started driving again. "What would you do if you found out you had a sister?"

"What?" I asked.

"What if you just found out one day that you had a little/older sister you never knew about?" he asked me and I looked at him. He stared straight ahead.

"Did you find out you had a sister recently?"

"No." he said with a shrug.

"Well... I don't know what I would do if that happened. In my case it would've had to be my dad's kid because my mom wasn't ever pregnant... and I'd be pretty pissed if my dad had a kid with another woman." I said and Jack looked at me.

"I'd be pretty pissed, too." he said and I looked at him.

"What did that have to do with anything?" I asked him and he sighed.
