KAGAMI
Im unsure about why I text Marinette about that.

I truthfully never texted Adrien about our geometry homework.

I lied, just to talk to her.

What was going on with me lately? It's not like I actually want to be her friend.

I sit alone in the hollowed gym lockers, waiting for the door to open by a certain girl.

I pull out my watch and check the time.

3:36 PM.

Of course she was late. I should have told her 3:15.

Almost immediately, the doors bang open and a panting bluenette appears.

"You're 6 minute late," I tell her, standing up and grabbing our stuff.

"Sorry boss-lady," she sarcastically jokes.

"Watch it or it'll be $60," I bark to her.

Marinette throws her hands up in defense as she follows me to the mats placed in the middle of the gym.

I throw the bag that I carry at her feet and point to the gear.

"We put these on first."

Marinette picks up a face shield and stares at it for a solid 10 seconds.

"How do you put this thing on?" Marinette struggles.

"My god," I take it from her hands and aggressively push it on her face and clip it in the back.

"There you go, stupid," I stand in front of her and huff.

We finish putting on the required clothes and I position myself.

"Okay, look at my position. Now, copy it." Marinette does as I say, laughing slightly as she struggles.

Trying to hide my own laugh, I leave my position to help her by adjusting her feet, but she soon loses balance and falls down.

"You're so clumsy," I complain, helping her up.

She removes the mask from her face aggressively, revealing her eyebrows turned. "Not my fault your positions are so difficult on the first day of this!" Marinette replies, defending herself.

"They're not difficult!" I yell.

"Kagami, I have no idea what to do. I don't even know the basic rules of fencing, so BACK OFF," Marinette screams, turning physically red and her eyes become vividly filled with tears.

Until then it hadn't occurred to me how rude I was being. Yes, Marinette was my enemy, but I just sounded outright mean.

That's not who I am.

My heart becomes slightly heavy and I sigh. "I'm sorry Marinette. I'll be easier to do this with."

Marinette stands in front of me, flabbergasted. "Wow, I don't think I've ever heard you apologize before," she chuckles, changing her facial expression from angry to humble.

"Yeah, well it will be the last. I'm not a mean person. I apologize for presenting myself in that way." A look of sincerity shows from Marinettes face, and she places both her hands on my shoulders.

"I know you're not mean, Kagami. But, I still think you're a bitch," she teases, going back to her side of the mat.

"Don't worry, I don't think any different of you," I add, dusting off my uniform.

"Oh thank god, I was really worried you were actually starting to like me!" Marinette sighs of relief, pretending to wipe sweat off her forehead.

I just roll my eyes.

I hope that doesn't happen anytime soon.
