KAGAMI
Marinette was being...nice to me all the sudden?

I wouldn't say I hate it, but our whole momentum is being enemies?

When I started crying I could see the compassion in her eyes. She's a good person.
Sometimes I regret ever hating her, but what would I have if I didn't hate her? She would have Adrien, and I would have...nobody.

"Come back to my house with me, Kagami," Marinette states.

My head stops spinning and my facial expression changes. "Why? I'll be fine here."

"Fine," she puts up her hands and begins to walk off.

A panic comes over me and I pull her back by her bag strap. "Okay, I'll come with you."

She side smirks me, cuing me to follow her.

Stumped at the gate, she silently turns back to me for ideas.

I shrug at her while she searches the fences high and low for a place to sneak out.

I follow her action and soon see the wide bars on the other side of the house.

I lightly tap Marinettes shoulder to grab her attention and point to the bars in the right side of the house.

She nods in approval then makes a run for it.

Practically shocked with her running as she was being chased, I bolt after her with the heavy books still wrapped in my arms.

She arrives first then do I.

She shoves her body through the bars, sucking in to fit.

I attempt to repeat her action but my books stop me from fully getting through.

Marinette notices my struggle then removing the books through another fence hole.

I finally get through, and we both dash back to the left side of the street where we can't be seen.

Marinette walks quietly on the side walk leading the way.

Wanting to say something, perhaps an apology or a comment of gratitude, Marinette beats me to it.

"Intense situation, huh," Marinette laughs at herself awkwardly and I intervene with
my comment.

"Thank you for helping me, Marinette," I state.

Marinette slows her speed until she lines up with me while we walk. "Don't get all sappy on me. You've been good for that lately. And don't think that I like you, I just have a soft heart," she sticks her finger in my face in attempt to order me.

"I'm not sappy, I just...express my feelings to people," I describe.

"Whatever."

We walk in silence for another 2 minutes before we reach a familiar thin oval building.

Marinette opens the door to let out the sweetest smelling breads and pastries.

She invites me in with a wave of a hand and I wonder in. I've been in here before but it didn't smell as wonderful as this.

"Mom, can Kagami hang here for a few hours?" Marinette asks, saying hello by a peck on the cheek.

A slightly emotion of jealously overcomes me.

I wish my mother was affectionate.

"Oh hello again, Kagami! So lovely to see you," Sabine wraps her arms around me and tightly squeezes for a soft minute.

"Hello, Mrs. Dupain-cheng. Would it be alright if I stayed here for a while? I'll be gone by supper," I politely ask, looking back between Marinette and her mother.

"Why, of course! You're always welcome here!" She smiles at me, giving me a warm feeling of love.

This is what a home feels like.
