MARINETTE
I was doing it because I was a good person.

That's the only reason why. I would have done it for anyone.

I don't know where it would go from here but I didn't want things to change. This whole drama between the three of us is exciting. My life was boring other than this.

Pushing up my trap door to inside my room, it creaks from the rusty bolts and Kagami follows me inside.

I watch as she spins around, taking in my very pink room.

"It's very...." Kagami thinks for a moment, searching for a the right words.

"Pink. I know. I need to redo it," I tell her, plopping in my spiny chair.

She uncomfortably sits on my lounge chair, twiddling her thumbs.

We sit in awkwardly silence for a moment until we both mutter something.

I close my mouth, indicating her to speak.

"Why did you bring me here?" Kagami asks, a tone of guilt in her voice.

"You can go home if you don't want to be here," I answer, leaning both my feet on my desk.

"That's not what I meant. Why did you willingly allow me to enter your home?" she stands up this time, coming closer so we are in immediate earshot of one another.

"I dunno. I just thought it would be a nice thing to do," I shrug.

She nods in reply.

"I can help you redo your room in return for your kindness." Kagami adjusts herself on a step of many leading up to my bed.

"No. I don't even have a plan for it yet," I hop off of my chair and look out the window.

Kagami comes to stand beside me.

I turn my head to see her in awe of the view.

Just through that small window, you could see buildings and people of all kind. The top of the  eiffel tower can be seen glowing against the sun.

She gasps and grins. I smile just watching her.

She looks away from the window and we make eye contact.

Slowly coming closer towards each other, our bodies touch and our faces almost touch.

"Marinette and Kagami, did you want a snack?" My mother shouts, slamming open my trap door.

Kagami and I immediately part and play it off cool.

I clear my throat awkwardly and shuffle over.
"No thanks, mom."

She nods at me and exits, pulling the door from above her.

I awkwardly stare, turning to a red-faced Kagmi.

I hesitantly walk back to my desk and sit in the chair.

An overbearing silence fills the room again.

Steps from behind me quietly come closer.

"I..um....I'm going to go to the bathroom." Kagami states, leaving my bedroom.

Once door latches, my body lifts off the chair and I begin to pace around the room in my own confusion.

Did we almost.....kiss?
