MARINETTE
"I just don't know if all this is worth it, Alya," I sigh as I retract my tears. Images of Kagami flash through my mind and it doesn't stop.

Alya stops in front of me, grabbing my shoulders. She opens her mouth, but a loud yell comes from the forest leading to Kagami's house.

My heart drops and I look over at Alya, worried. We share the same expression and run in sync.

As we come closer, we see a person aggressively punching the other, and the hair was a dead giveaway.

"Adrien?" I shout angrily.

The bruised boy stops in his tracks and stands to his feet. When he lifts his body off the ground, I see the same girl I had been talking about moments before.

"Marinette, it's not what it looks like, I-" Completely ignoring him, I sprint over to a weak Kagami who only has a bleeding lip and a few scratch marks. She brushes herself off and gives me a nervous look.

A powerful anger comes over me, and I give a death stare to them both.

"What. The. FUCK are you two psychos doing? Fighting each other? Why?" I yell. Adrien stares at me with a hurt look and Kagami shares the same.

"Marinette, you cheated on me... with her?" A sadness comes from him, but something doesn't seem genuine.

"Y-yes I did, and I'm sorry," I drop the anger and walk over to him. His face goes from sad to frustration quickly and he looks down at me with a face so intense it makes me afraid.

"You're a fucking faggot now because of Kagami. She'll pay for that," he glares at her.

My mouth drops wide open and I take a step back from him. "What the hell is wrong with you? You're seriously not homophobic..." I stand, too stunned to barely meet his eye.

"Marinette, she made you gay! She made you turn away from me! Can't you see that?" He raises his hand, screaming in my face. I immediately see Kagami and Alya run to my side.

"Adrien, I suggest you leave before you get dragged out of here by force. We all know Kagami is a hell of a lot stronger than you, you weak bitch," Alya orders, pointing to the way we entered.

Adrien stares at the three of us, with most of his anger directed toward Kagami. "This isn't over, Kagami," he threatens.

Kagami shoves her way through me and Alya, but I push her out of the way. "You know what's funny, Adrien? I actually fell in love with Kagami way before you, and I wouldn't have chosen you if I knew this was the way you felt about love. If you so much as lay one finger on Kagami again, so help me God, me, Alya, and Kagami's powerful family will make your life a living hell. Mark my word," I pound my finger in the middle of his chest with a nasty scowl.

Adrien exchanges glances with all three of us before turning around and walking away.

As I watch him leave, I bite my lip in a tense pain.

I can't believe Adrien is homophobic...

I turn around to see Kagami looking at me. "Is it true?"

I purse my lips together before nodding. I turn my head over to Alya, her face showing me a sign of approval. "Yes, I just couldn't tell you."

"How come you didn't tell me?" she steps closer to me, her injuries becoming more apparent.

I bite my lip and think back to our first fencing lesson. I recognize it then but I was falling in love. "Because I wasn't supposed to love you, I was supposed to hate you."

Kagami chuckles a little bit and places her hands on my cheeks. "How could you hate someone as amazing as me?" she smirks.

I shove her jokingly, but she grabs my wrist to pull me back in, our lips landing on each other's.

"You don't hate me then?" I giggle, our chests pressing against each other and our faces inches apart.

"I could never hate someone I love," she whispers. Butterflies erupt in my stomach and my cheeks start to turn red.

"You love me?" I ask, trying my hardest to not flash the biggest smile I've ever made.

"How could I not?"
