KAGAMI
I woke up as early as I normally do on a Saturday morning. I knew Marinette always slept in, like she usually does, so I didn't wake her up.I turn my exhausted body over to see a sleeping Marinette. She looked so peaceful and beautiful.
I smile for a second until I actually realize what I've done.
I betrayed Adrien, and if he finds out, he'll hate me and never allow Marinette to have the future she wants with the Agreste brand.
I hop out of bed and rub my temples. Her clothes sit at my feet.
I try to shake off the feeling of regret. I don't regret sleeping with her. I don't.
My bare feet burn on the cold floor as I hop down the stairs, putting her clothes in the washer and heading to the kitchen.
My mother gives our help the weekends off as I volunteer to do dinners for the 2 of us.
Making an early morning meal for myself, I don't bother making some for Marinette as they would be cold by the time she was awake.
The house is silent and empty as I eat my food.
The creak of a door is heard and my heart races knowing it could be one of 2 people.
I don't hear the sound of my mothers cane, revealing who the person is.
Marinette turns the corner of the stair edge and jumps down the steps, then walking towards me with a grin.
"I thought you already ate this morning?" she teases.
I chuckle quietly at her joke. "Guess I'm still hungry."
Her hand yanks at at the chair next to me.
"I put your clothes in the wash, I hope you don't mind," I add, eating another bite.
She grins at me, thanking me about it.
"Are you hungry?" I ask, getting myself up from the table with my plate.
"Not after last night," she smirks. I roll my eyes and look back at her.
"I'm making you pancakes," I tell her.
She hops from her seat and chases me down into the kitchen. "Fine, but I want to help," she hugs my waist as I crack an egg into my old bowl.
I whip myself around so our eyes meet at exact level. Her lips touch mine, and my hands sneak around her waist.
We part and she smiles wide. Wanting to say something, I open my mouth but it closes when her phone dings.
"Oh shit, it's... uh... it's Adrien," she laughs nervously.
I clench my jaw at his name. "Oh, do you have to go then?" I ask, swallowing my guilt.
"Yeah, I-I should..." Marinette stutters.
I nod in reply and turn off the pan.
She exits the kitchen, and runs up the stairs to grab her stuff.
Almost as soon as she left, she comes back with a worried look on her face. "Are my clothes still in the wash?"
