MARINETTE
I don't love Adrien.

Not anymore.

I used to be obsessed with him, but I don't even think about him while we're together.

I think about her. I think about Kagami.

I never really kissed Adrien, because he isn't who I wanted to kiss.

I came to terms with my feelings for Kagami.

Deep down, I knew it wasn't right, but it also wasn't right pretending that I wasn't in love with her.

But, maybe I can juggle being in love with her and dating Adrien. It will be fine.

So today will be the day I tell her. I think.

After our long and lengthy movie (that Adrien picked out, by the way), I told Adrien my parents needed me at the bakery. No, I shouldn't lie to him, and I shouldn't go see Kagami, but I will anyways.

I may have even had a hop in my step on the way there.

By now, I knew I couldn't just knock on the door.

Kagami had set up a ladder to the window on the third floor where the stairs went right to her room for every time Adrien and I came over.

Arriving at her house, I collect a small group of pebbles and throw a couple at her window.

Kagami slides open her window and gives me the biggest grin, making a small bit of my heart melt.

Climbing up the ladder, and down the stairs into her room, I knock ever so lightly on her door.

She immediately opens it and pulls me inside.

The first thing I notice is her baggy sweat pants. I had never seen them before, and we usually hung out with homely clothes on. Instead of the hoodie she wore to the movies, she was now wearing a tight cropped tank top, showing a little bit of her stomach.

"Hi," she whispers.

"Hey," I smile at her.

"So, what's up?" Kagami sits on her bed and pats the spot next to her for me to sit.

"Well... Um... I was thinking about joining the spring fencing team?" I nervously rub the skin on my arm and watch her facial expression change from worry to slight disappointment.

"That's great! You should," she encourages, flashing me a grin.

I stand up and wander around her room. "That's not what I came here for, actually,"

Kagami stands up soon after and watches me as I pace. "Is everything okay? Is it Adrien?" Her eyebrows turn and I laugh.

"No, definitely not about Adrien."

She stops in front of me and holds my shoulders. "Spit it out!" she encourages.

"Kagami... I'm sorry for that night in October. I was wrong to run away and ignore you," I apologize.

Kagami bites her lip, throwing me a gentle smile. "It's okay, but why are you apologizing now?" she asks, tilting her head.

"Because I made a big mistake." And with that last sentence, I grab her face and put my lips on hers.
