"I like that man" Stephen commented at dinner on Thursday night.
"what man?"Linda asked sipping tea.
"Fred Turner. he's very responsible"
Sara kept quiet because if she didn't, it would be an exercise in indigestion.
"you may be in a relationship with him Sara...he's very responsible"
Josh's eyebrow rose to check her reaction. he had noticed how things were going between her and Max.
"don't you agree dear?"Linda said and glanced at Sara who was pouring her tea.
"I don't want to be in a relationship with someone who pretends to be nice..and who's not'
"what's wrong with him? her dad asked." he's responsible enough to me. he comes from a good family, he has a good job..he.."
"that's acceptable dad" Josh interrupted."I'm sure this could be discussed later."

Sara didn't see her Friend tiff at work and she wondered why. as she gathered her files and called it a day, Max entered when he saw the door opened.
"hi"
"hi," she said and smiled." was just about to leave now so I'll have to go."
"can I drop you off?"
"sure".

as Max drove on, he glanced at her" I'm glad you're okay."
Sara frowned."did someone told you I wasn't?"
"not I was just kind of worried that's all"
"Thanks for your concern. I'll be fine okay?"
"you can't be fine enough" Max stopped his car and turned to her.
"I can't be fine enough?! what are you saying!?" she suddenly got angry." you're exactly like my dad! bossing people around! people like you think I'm a two-year-old who can't take care of myself!."
before Max could open his mouth to talk, Sara opened the car and jumped out leaving her bag behind.
" Sara wait!....."Max shouted and followed her." it's cold out here."
he caught up with her and grabbed her hands.
" I'm sorry. i...I didn't mean to say that..it's just...I wanted to tell you something and I was worried I wouldn't be able to.
"what?" Sara gasped staring at him. tears stinging her pretty eyelids.
what is Max Whittaker doing to her?
"I'm having a kind of feelings bounded so strong for someone..and it's making me crazy every single day, you're my friend Sara and I need to tell you"
"and how does that concern me? "Sara said raising her chin. feeling envy spreading through her veins.
"because..." he started taking slow steps towards her.
"don't ever think I'll kiss you again..let me go"
"every moment I think about you. every night you torment me. I feel a love bounded so strong between us and I know you feel the same about me"
Sara felt tears rolling down her chin." but. I thought you said.."
"That woman is you, Sara.."Max drew her close that a step, he could kiss her."I'm in love with you"
Sara stared at him.speechless.there she was, in front of Max telling her he loves her.
"I...I.Max.I think I feel the same way about you"
Max drew her close and kissed her slowly at first, then deeper. holding her slim waist and kissing her more. Sara kissed him back and he felt as if he was flying.
