Finding Perfect(A Novel)

chapter two

The door to the baker's apartment rang and rang again. josh baker, a tall brown-haired young man, Sara's older brother, went to the door.it was a weekend relaxation day.
"hi!" Tiff screamed and hugged Josh, kissing him on his cheek and giving him a red lipstick lip mark.
Dora Lampman and Lily Jones Sara's both work friends rolled their eyes.
"where's Sara?" Tiff asked when they sat down on the cushion.
"Hello ladies," Sara said coming towards them. she wore a jean top and shorts.
"phew!" tiff exclaimed. she flung her hair back and straightened up. Sara knew that as a gossip moment.
"I think a guy is vacant now" tiff started."a guy that works exactly where we work..that guy is damn hot!"
"who's this guy"Lily whispered leaning close.
she gave Lily a pat on the back as if to say "I'll tell you later"
the doorbell rang again. Sara stood up and went to the door. there we two elements she felt when she saw him. first, she felt a thumping in her heart as if she had seen a valuable gold for the first time. secondly, she felt tingles down to her toes." tingles? where did that come from? she wondered.
"hi," a masculine voice brought her back.
she stared at him. his spiky hair was neat and shiny. he wore a blue shirt and jeans. Sara gulped. something was wrong with her. she thought.
"hi!" she said and shivered.
"Nice to meet you. is this your home?"Max asked gazing at her.
"yes..uh..of course..can...I help you with something?"
"oh..well, I came to see an old friend of mine Josh..is he.. your brother?"
"of course..come in please"
when Max stepped in, tiff stood up and went to him.
"Hello, Max! good to see you!"
"thanks" Max replied.
"these are my friends, Lily, Dora. and Sara," she said gesturing to Sara who was pouring him coffee.
"Nice to meet you all"
"it's great to see you, Max!"Josh said coming towards max and hugged him.
you too man. how're you?.you couldn't meet up at the gym last week."
"Sorry man. I had to wash...and my washing machine had a problem that I had to fix."
Max smiled and stood up."I'm sorry about it. just wanted to check in and see if you are alright. I have to go now."
"very well then. let me see you off."
"it's great to see you all." Max turned to Sara and winked.
"see you at work Maxie!" Tiff screeched and got a glare from Lily and Dora.
"he's so handsome..isn't he?" tiff said staring at the ceiling and smiling.
"I have to warn you Missie" Lily stood up glaring at tiff." you don't have to go all the way flirting with different guys. you know how men are this day and age. it's so hard to find a perfect man"
"is that flirting? "tiff fired backs and smiled. I think I did all that because I like him."
"what!"
Sara gasped softly.

Sara groaned in frustration and anger in her office when she hung up. that man again? God knows she could jump overboard on a ship if she was asked to be on the same ship with him.  he wanted to take her home?
she sighed again. tiff would squeal in delight if she heard this. and her parents would probably smile in approval.
but she had to. she had to go. if she doesn't, he will probably fire her.
it's high time she gets a car of her own. tired of being swayed by some "peacock men".
as she locked her office door. she saw the "peacock. Mr. Fred, waiting for her and smiling.

"it's nice to see you Mr. Fred" Stephen, Sara's father greeted Fred and ushered him in. Sara rolled her eyes. great. this was what her father wanted. bringing her boss home to see them.
"thank you, sir"
"so..how is work going? Stephen asked gesturing him to sit snd serving him a glass of wine.
" Oh.. great. doing everything I could to maintain my father's company and estate." he boasted.
"Oh..your father must have trained you well"
"Of course yes. he stays in Ohio. and..he has ten hotels there"
Sara could see that her father was impressed.
"Wao! this is wonderful! a hard-working man like you. owning a big business of your own.."
"I,....really must go now. I have an important appointment with a senator" he said smiling and stood up." but I'll love to see your family again"
"it'll be my pleasure," Stephen said and shook hands with him.
