The Oletus Theater - Edgar Valden x Reader

Act I
Scene I

[Fade In]

Summer break had come to a halt, and with a new school year at the Oletus Academy came a new theater project, hosted by none other than the Will Brothers themselves, along with the Vice Principal of the school, Mr. Jack Ripper.

The interest meeting had rolled around for all of those who took a liking to theater, including individuals who wanted to be part of the Light and Sound crew, the Stage crew, and of course, those who wished to have an acting role in the production.

"Welcome all to the Oletus Theater's interest meeting! I am the host of this event and all other productions to come, ahem, at least for a while... Mr. Pessimistic, one of the three Will Brothers! These are my other two brothers, which will also help us along this journey, Mr. Reticent and Mr. Ridicule!"

Ridicule gave everyone an oral greeting while Reticent just bowed his head slightly.

"Joining us will, of course, be the Vice Principal of this school, Mr. Jack Ripper!"

The sound of applause echoed throughout the auditorium as Mr. Ripper bowed dramatically directed to all those in the audience.

The meeting carried on for about an hour, the staff covering things about audition dates, meet dates, and everything in-between.

Crowds started filing out of the auditorium, excited chatter filling the room as it became more and more empty, and soon that chatter became a small whisper, and then came silence.

Scene II

[Fade In]

"So, now that the production has been announced, who do you think you'll audition for? You did say you wanted to have an acting role in it, didn't you?"

"Hah. The only role fit for me would be none other than Mr. Inference. It's the closest I've gotten to a lead role since middle school."

"That's Edgar for you, always 'lead role' this... and 'front and center' that..."

"I assure you, Luca, I will become a great actor, and if I want that to be possible, I must get lots of practice in by scoring a lead role."

The brunette with a darker head of hair sighed, combing his hair using his fingers.

"Anyways, are you going to be auditioning?"

"Nah. If anything I'll be Light and Sound crew... Maybe I could use my inventions for that," Luca smirked, never missing an opportunity to boast about his position under the greatest inventor in the town.

"Mm."

[Fade Out]

Act I
Scene III

[Fade in]

"Hey, Y/n! Did you see the play was finally announced? Who are you going to audition for?? I think you'd make a great Monstrous Bird!"

"Monstrous Bird..? She's not for me."

"What? But you'd make a great heroine!"

"You know, Trace, in lower school I was the heroine for my school play, and man did I not like it!"

"Whaat? Well fine... Who is 'for you' then?"

"Meh, I've been thinking, and I'm gonna have to go with Succubus."

"SUCCUBUS????? BUT SHE'S THE VILLAIN!! WHY HER-"

"Once upon a time I was the heroine. It was the worst experience of my life, and then I went through a villain arc."

"Whatever! I'm sure you'll make a great Succubus! I guess trying something new never hurt anybody... Heh..."

"If I don't get the part maybe I'll be the Rainmaker."

"Completely ignoring the role of Monstrous Bird..." The blonde sighed and accepted defeat. Perhaps her friend was simply better off as a villain. Somehow.
