Bonding."

Travis stared into her eyes. "Bonding?"

"Soulmate bonding. It's a special thing that witches do to be sealed to their partner. Demons do it as well."

"How is bonding with Y/n going to help her?" He looked down at you. Your eyes were fully closed and your breathing was slowing down. He panicked. "Hurry and tell me."

"Once you're bonded, you get special abilities that you share with each other. Each one is different depending on the couple, but a healing ability does exist. It can help from paper cuts to near death, but it cannot help if the partner has died," Lucinda explained as fast as she could.

Travis thought about it for a second. "How do we do it?"

"It only works if the feelings are mutual."

Travis's eyes widened.

"But I don't think you have to worry about that," Lucinda added on quickly.

Travis sighed out of relief then realized what she said. "Wai-"

"Okay, so you have to perform a special ritual for the bonding to happen. It can be done fast."

Lucinda paused to try to remember the order. "Grab her hands," she instructed.

Travis leaned you against him so now you were resting on his chest. He grabbed both of your hands.

"Okay, tell her how much you love her."

"Really?" Travis's face flushed red, but quickly calmed it down because it wasn't the time for it. You were on the brink of death.

"Y/n, I don't know if you'll ever know how much I love you. I know it's only been a couple months since we first met but I caught feelings fast, and they're real too. Not some 'playboy' feelings." He took a breath. "I love how determined you are. Once you want something, you'll work so hard for it. I just hope for us to be together one day."

Lucinda started tearing up a bit at how sincere Travis was being. She wiped them away and continued. "Now, touch foreheads and close your eyes until I say to open them."

Travis leaned down and touched his forehead to yours while closing his eyes. The spot where your foreheads were touching started to warm up.

Travis saw a light start to glow even though his eyes were closed. The light got brighter and brighter then exploded.

Travis kept his eyes closed hoping Lucinda and you would be alright after the explosion.

"Okay, you guys can open your eyes now," he heard Lucinda's voice say.

He slowly opened his eyes making sure nothing would turn him blind. He saw Lucinda and her orange hair, then he looked down at you in his arms.

His eyes widened when he saw your knife wound was gone and there was no blood anywhere. He kept staring at your face when you started to shift around.

You fluttered your eyes open and was surprised to see emerald green eyes staring at you.

"Hi," you smiled. It was you, the normal you. Witchy had gone to rest for now.

Travis smiled as well and hugged you tight. "I thought you were going to die," he said into the crook of your neck.

Your eyes widened at his sudden action, but you wrapped your arms around him. "I was going to be fine."

He quickly let go of you and stared into your eyes. "No you weren't. You almost died because of your father. We had to be bonded to save you."

Your face went red. "B-Bonded?"

Lucinda cut in. "Yup, you guys are bonded and that only happened because the feelings were mutual."

You stood up and hid your face in your eyes. "Oh man."

Travis grabbed your arm and pulled you back down onto his lap. You slowly took your hands off your face.

"You know what this means?" he asked.

You stayed silent. You tried to avoid eye contact. He put a finger under your chin and had you look at him. He smirked.

"It means you're mine now."
