Sorry for any mistakes.

"That's what we're about to find out," you said opening the book.
The book was dusty on the inside as well and you coughed when it was opened.
The first cover page was blank, so you turned it to the next. The page had writing at the top, but it was faded due to the age of the book. All you could make out was the word 'journal'.
"It's someone's journal," you pointed out.
Travis leaned in and looked at the page. "Hmm, I wonder who's it is."
You turned to the next page and it looked like a full out entry with a date at the top. Again most things were faded, but it was still legible to a certain extent.
You skimmed the page. "Secret, hidden, baby, escape," you muttered.
"I guess whoever it was probably had a secret relationship, but was found out," Travis said.
"Maybe," you replied.
You flipped through more pages reading as much as you could. Then you turned to Travis. "You were right about the secret relationship, they were married. But as we saw from the first page, they also had a baby together and it wasn't allowed. So the mother had to escape with their baby."
"So this is the mother's journal." Travis thought for a moment. "Then why is it here? And who's specifically is this?"
You were still going through the book. "That's what I'm trying to look for."
You kept turning the pages until you got to the last entry. "Wait, this is it. This is the last one."
"Hmm, doesn't look too old, but it still looks over two decades old," Travis said grabbing the book from your hands.
You snatched the book back and glared at him. Then you started reading it. As you read it, things started to become blurry. Your eyes widened as you read a certain sentence.
My dear Y/n . . .
"Wait . . ." you trailed off. "It's addressed to me."
Travis looked at you. "What? Give it to me."
Travis read through the entire entry as you sat there staring at a wall with your eyes wide open.
"You're the secret baby. Your mother escaped here with you."
You couldn't believe it. You gently took the book from Travis's hands so you could fully read the entry.
My dear Y/n.
If you're reading this, you're most likely in the Nether. I'm so sorry I didn't tell you any of this earlier. I should have, but I didn't think you were ready, nor had you met your father yet. But now you're in the Nether and you've most likely met him.
I never wanted you to not know your father, but I knew it was too dangerous. You've probably seen why. He wasn't always like that though. He used to be so kind, but he suddenly became filled with rage and a hunger for power and killed his own father to become king.
Becoming king seemed to have corrupted him and he came to hate witches and that meant he hated me and you. I couldn't stay there any longer, so I left with you and never looked back. I wanted you to grow up happy and the overworld was somewhere I could do that.
You have a destiny though and I know you were always meant to go back to the Nether and defeat your father. It might not be easy, but you must kill your father. This might be weird to hear from someone who absolutely loved him dearly, but it must happen. I learned a lot about demons when living secretly in the Nether, so please believe me. You don't have to become the leader of the demons though, you can pass it onto someone trustworthy and I can assure you they will not be corrupted.
Remember that I will always love you no matter what. Please stay safe.
Love, Mom
You had to read the passage multiple times to make sure you understood what you read. You took a deep breathe in and then exhaled.
"So this is real. Everything makes sense now. Why my mother never told me. Why the King, or my father, is trying to kill me. I'm the only one who can kill him," you sat there astonished as everything came to you.
"What do we do now?" Travis asked checking on you to make sure you were okay.
You whipped around to face him. "What do you mean 'what do we do now'? You gotta save Aphmau, and I have to kill my father."
