~Y/n's POV~

Oh crap.

Three people had come out of the portal and they looked like guards.

They're probably guards of the Nether.

"Search the house," one of the guards ordered.

The other two nodded and left.

I slightly peeked out from underneath my bed and saw the Nether book on the table.

No, no, no, no. He's going to find it and take it. I panicked.

One guard was looking around my room. I quickly cast the shrink spell on the book and moved it under a paper with my magic.

I knew it was risky, most of the guards could feel when a spell was being cast.

They could only feel a twinge, not where it came from, fortunately.

I saw him flinch after I cast the spell. He started walking toward my bed.

I held my breath.

He kept coming closer and then he stopped at the foot of my bed.

He started to bend down to look underneath and I was panicking very bad.

"BOSS! WE FOUND SOMETHING!" One of the other guards yelled.

The one in front of my bed stood up straight and walked out my door.

I left out a sigh of relief, but then realized what they could've found.

Lucinda's potion and spell room!

I quietly got out from under my bed and grabbed my phone from off my desk.

I texted Lucinda as fast as I could then went down the stairs.

I carefully peeked around the corner and saw her witchy room door open.

They already got in!

I felt my phone vibrate. I pulled it out of my back pocket and checked it.

Lucinda: I'm almost there.

Thank goodness.

I suddenly felt someone's hand over my mouth.

Not again, dang it!

~Lucinda's POV~

I was driving as fast as I could back to my house.

People would wonder why I didn't teleport back. I'm exhausted and it won't work properly if I try. Also I didn't want to leave my car at the cafe.

I had told Laurance there was a family emergency and we could finish the date later.

I arrived at my house and sensed strong magic there.

I stopped midway in my doorway. I felt the strongest magic pass through me as soon as walked through.

This doesn't feel right. Y/n told me something was wrong but it's worse than I thought.

I stepped all the way through being as quiet as I could, slowly heading to my potion room.

I peeked my head around the corner and saw the door was open.

I always close it. Why is it open?

I hear something shatter. I gasped quietly.

Someone's in my witch room.

I quietly creep toward the door and peek in.

There are three figures with their backs to me and something in the middle of them.

"Nope. I'm not telling you anything," a sassy voice said.

That voice sounds familiar. Wait, Y/n?

"Then we'll take your family and friends and execute them in front of the whole Nether," one of three figures said.

"No, you can't do that."

Is she tied up?

"Yes, we can. We got permission from the King to do anything."

"King of the Nether, not Earth."

"Enough! Tell us where the book is or we're killing you!"

"How about . . . no!"

"You asked for it." One of the figures lunged at Y/n.

I quickly got out from my hiding spot and used all my strength left and stunned all three figures.

I heard a gasp. "Lucinda!" Y/n shouted.

I sprinted in and quickly untied Y/n. I grabbed her hand and we bolted out of the house.

I looked at who's house we could run to and the closest was Dante and Travis'.

I pounded on the door. I knew the spell wasn't going to last long since I was exhausted. You'd think getting part of Y/n's powers would make me stronger, but it's actually tiring me out.

The door to the house opened and Travis was in the doorway.

"Lucinda? Y/n?" Travis questioned.

I shoved Y/n in the house and I slammed the door behind us.

Y/n and I were both panting.

"Travis? Why did you slam the door?" Dante walked to where we all were.

When he saw us, he stopped. "Y/n? Lucinda? What are you gals doing here?"

Y/n calmed her breath slightly, she still took deep breaths when she talked though. "Guards . . . book . . . kill me."

"Guards? What are you talking about?" Dante asked.

Travis stared at us with a worried face. "Uh, Dante I need to talk to the girls. Can you go?"

"But-" Dante was interrupted.

"Please?" Travis begged.

"Okay, fine." Dante left to his room.

Travis turned back to us and he made us all go to the couch in the living room.

"Okay, what happened?"
