~Two Days Until The Calling Is Over~

~Y/n's Demon's POV~

After three days I've finally decided to leave my room. I didn't need to eat and there was a secret bathroom I found in my room. I have no idea why you would need to hide a bathroom.

I walked down the halls of the castle quietly, I didn't want to attract any unwanted attention. You could only slightly hear the small taps of my footsteps.

I also decided to do some snooping, so the entire time out of my room, I was invisible.

"The Demon King needs you to come to the council meeting," A deep voice said from around the corner.

"I'll be right there," another voice said. This time that one sounded familiar.

I heard the footsteps fading from where I was. I walked out from behind the corner.

Council meeting, huh? I want to see what this is all about.

I still faintly heard their footsteps but I followed them.

Only following the sound of their steps was a little annoying, but I managed to make it to the council room.

The door was slightly ajar, so I used that to peek into the room.

"Travis, I'm glad you could make it," The King spoke.

Travis nodded then sat in the seat next to The King and across from his father.

"We need to discuss an important matter involving that . . . Demon Witch," The King snarled.

Why are they talking about me? I inched a little closer to listen.

"What is the problem?" Travis asked.

"The problem is that she is powerful and she could overrule me!" The King pounded his fists on the table.

"I don't think she is interested in taking over. All she cares about is getting home."

"She's probably just telling you that, so you don't get suspicious. We need to do something about her."

"What are you saying?" Travis scooted forward in his seat.

"We need to capture her," The Demon King said then snapped his fingers.

I felt something had grabbed my arms and restricted me from moving. I thought I was invisible!

"Oh, you thought you were so smart didn't you?" The King stood up from his seat and walked toward me. "Trying an invisibility spell to hide. You know I can sense your powerful presence, right?"

My spell wore off and I stared at him with a straight face. I couldn't be weak.

"I don't know what your intentions are, but you aren't going home."

"You can't keep me here!" I tried using my magic to get out. "Ouch!"

"I wouldn't try using magic, you're just going to hurt yourself. If you didn't notice the guards had slipped on magic-proof handcuffs while you weren't paying attention."

"What are you going to do with me?" I asked glaring at him.

"You'll see. Guards, would you be so kind and lock her up in the dungeon?" He smirked.

The guards nodded and started to take me away. I stood up and started walking, I turned back to look at Travis. His eyes were filled with . . . guilt.

Probably for not doing anything to help. What a weakling.

They took me the the dungeon and shoved me in a cell. The guards stood on each side of the cell after they locked it.

I slumped down, my back against the wall as I sighed.

There's no way to get out of this one. I have no magic or no hands for the matter, they're handcuffed behind my back.

I stared at the wall, nothing to do, just waiting to rot in this cell.

~Travis's Demon's POV~

"Your Highness, don't you think that's a little harsh," I questioned after watching the guards drag Witchy away.

"Travis, I wouldn't be arguing with your King unless . . . you want to be killed," The Demon King hissed.

I shook my head.

"Since we have her under control it's now time for the moment I've been waiting for ever since she was born," The King said back in his seat.

"What would that be, Sire?" My father asked.

"Killing her." Everyone gasped. "I couldn't dare risk the throne, even if she never wanted it. The world's better without any Demon Witches or Warlocks, they should have never existed!"

"Warlocks? I thought all Demon Witch hybrids were girls. There has never been a history of Demon Warlocks," My father pondered checking his history book.

"Just because one was never recorded in history, doesn't mean there wasn't one."

Everyone looked at each other around the room, I looked at my father.

"It's time to conclude our meeting. The Demon Witch will be executed in a few days. Enjoy your evening," The King finished.

I stood up and pulled my father to the other room so I could speak to him in private.

"Travis? What do you need?" He asked me.

"She doesn't deserve to die, she has done nothing wrong!" I shouted.

"Keep your voice down!" He whisper shouted. "Someone could hear you."

I sighed, "I just . . . don't think it's fair."

"Of course it's not fair! But we can't argue with The King!" He yelled still whispering. Father paused for a moment then sighed, "I don't think she deserves to die either, we just have to wait and see what happens."

~Third Person POV~

Y/n sighed and looked through the small barred window.

I don't know when I'm getting out or even IF I'm getting out, but all I know is that I'm not dying on this trip.
