~Next Day~

~Y/n's POV~

This morning I woke up ready to do something.

I hopped out of bed, went downstairs, and headed into the kitchen.

"Morning," Lucinda greeted.

"Morning," I responded smiling.

Lucinda gave me a funny look.
"What are you so happy about?"

"Nothing," I said still smiling.

"Uh huh," Lucinda nodded her head slowly still skeptical.

"Actually, today is the day I try to find out what the symbols in the Nether book are."

"Oh, if that's it, either look for it online or go to the library. I'm not sure if they'd have a super secret decoder for a cryptic book just lying around."

"Here," I said picking my phone up off the table. "I'll first check the internet."

I started tapping away on my phone, scrolling through pictures of symbols and didn't find a match.

While I did that, Lucinda sat herself down on one of her soft couch chairs and started to read a book.

I got up off my seat, "I didn't find anything!"

Lucinda looked up from her book, "Go to the library then."

"Fine, I will," I said going up the stairs.

"Where are you going?"

"Upstairs to change obviously. I'm not going in pajamas."

I went upstairs and quickly changed into something else, then headed back downstairs.

"See you later," Lucinda said not looking up from her book.

"Bye," I said heading out the door.

Hm, how do I get there? Wait, I don't even know where the library is.

I took my phone out. Google Maps, do your thing.

I searched up the nearest library, which was the, Mystreet Public Library.

Well then, off I go.

I started walking until I felt a tap on my shoulder. I swiftly turned around and met a pair of green eyes.

"Hi Travis," I smiled.

"Hey," he smiled back. "Where are you heading off to?"

"I'm going to the library to look try and decode the Nether book."

"Do you mind if I come along?"

"I don't mind at all. It would be nice to have another person help."

He smiled and off we went.

~At Library~

We arrived at the library. To be honest it was a little smaller than I imagined but I might be able to find something here.

Travis and I walked into the library and headed to a table.

"Okay, so we split up so we can cover more ground and see what's in this place," I whispered to Travis.

He nodded and went to the left, while I went to the right.

I didn't know exactly what I was looking for but all I know is, it was something about symbols.

To be truthful, I looked for the 'ancient languages' and 'symbols' section.

Apparently, they don't have that specific name. Might as well ask the librarian.

I walked up to the desk and there sat an old lady that looked pretty kind.

"Hello dear, how may I help you?" She asked in a quiet voice.

"I was wondering if you have any books on 'ancient languages' and/or 'symbols'?" I replied quietly.

"I think I do. Here let me look it up." She started typing on her computer.

After a minute or two of searching on her computer, she found something.

"Ah, I found it," She said happily. "It's the fourth row on the right, and halfway down."

I smiled, "Thank you so much!"

"Any time dear," She responded going back to her work.

I walked down to the fourth row on the right, and halfway through the aisle.

"Hm, where are you?" I asked the books.

My eyes wandered around the shelves until it landed on a huge brown book.

"Ah, there you are," I said stepping on a small step stool they had. I stood on top and started grabbing the huge book.

As soon as I grabbed it, I started to lose my balance because of how heavy it was.

"I am going to fall," I mumbled to myself. There was no way I could use my magic to save me here.

I started to fall backwards until I was caught. By none other than that green eyed doofus.

"Glad I found you in time before you hit the ground," he laughed quietly.

"Oh, thank you," I smiled.

He set me down.

"I probably would have been crushed to death by this book," I said trying to lift the book above my knees.

"Here, let me take it," he offered.

"Thanks, Travis," I smiled.

We walked over to an empty table and Travis set the book onto the table.

I took the tiny Nether book out of my pocket and grew it to it's normal size.

"Why didn't you just use magic to bring the book down?" Travis asked.

"Because this book was too heavy for me to lift with my messed up magic. The growing and shrinking spell is very simple, so my magic doesn't mess up," I explained.

"Oh."

I opened up the Nether book and the 'ancient languages and symbols' book and started searching for similarities in the symbols.

~One Hour Later~

"Ankh? No. Hebrew? No. Greek? No. Galactic Alphabet? N- . . . wait," I stopped. I looked back and forth at the books.

"Travis?" I called sightly tilting my head so I could see his face. "It's the Galactic Alphabet."

His face lit up and he sat up from his head on the table. "Really?"

"Yup, now I just have to translate," I sighed looking back at the huge Nether book.

You know, I think I've seen these symbols before. In a game.
