Billies pov

Me, y/n, and Finneas were playing truth or dare. Finneas knew I had a crush on y/n so because I was too scared to tell her he told me he was gonna ask how she liked me. It was Finneas's turn to ask the question.

"Y/n truth or dare" he said. "Truth" she said. "What is billie to you?" he asked. "She's just a friend" she said. That made me a little sad but I didn't say anything. I could tell they noticed though.

"Billie what's wrong?" y/n asked me. "Oh umm...nothing" I said. "Billie I'm your best friend. I know when you're lying. What's wrong?" y/n said. "Is it because of what I said?" she asked. "Maybe a little bit" I said.

"Billie just tell her" finneas said. "Fine." I said. Y/n had a confused look on her face.

"Sooo I've had a crush on you for a while. I was too scared to tell you so finneas decided to ask what I was to you when we played this game. I was hoping you'd say you liked me but when you didn't it kinda made me sad. Especially when you said that I'm 'just a friend' I told her.

"Oh..I'm sorry. I didn't know you felt that way" she said. "It's ok. You wouldn't have known. It's my fault" I said. "No its not" she said looking at me. "Yes it is. This could've been avoided if I just told you sooner" I said.

"It's nobody's fault" finneas said. "It's nobody's but mine" I said. Everything was silent for a few minutes.

"I think I better go" y/n said. "I'll walk you out" finneas said. They got up and left. Finneas came back into the room.

"You alright billie?" he asked me. "I'll be fine. I just hope this doesn't ruin our friendship" I said. "That probably won't happen" he said. He sat down on the floor next to me.

"Don't you think you'd be weirded out if one of your friends had a crush on you even though they know you won't like them back?" I asked him. "No. That's a silly reason for a friendship to be ruined" he said.

"Well you know the way she feels about certain things are different from how you feel about them. She could think it's weird and end up hating me. Plus now she knows I'm gay and she could be homophobic" I said.

"Now you know y/n isn't homophobic." he said. "We don't know that. She could be homophobic and just doesn't show it" I said. "You literally asked her if she was yesterday and she said no. You know when she's lying and she didn't lie did she?" he asked. "Well..no" I said. "Exactly. And why would she hide that anyways?".

"Idk...I guess I'm just kinda used to people hiding stuff from me like that. I probably just got used to that happening" I said.

"Well I don't think she's like that" he said. "You're right" I said. My phone buzzed. I took it out my pocket and I saw it was a text from y/n.

Y/n:sorry I left like that. If i made you sad or something I didn't mean to. I was shocked you actually liked me like that. I don't see you the same:/ sorry

Bils: it's fine

Y/n:still friends?

Bils:yeah
