Y/n's pov

My wife's been acting...strange. Like very strange. She's been coming home late, acting weird, has a weird look in her eye, it's all super weird to me. Maybe she's just upset about Zoe's death.

"Lovee I'm homee" she said while coming into the house. I went downstairs and hugged her.

"I missed you" I said as she hugged me back. "I missed you too" she said. We pulled away from the hug and walked up to our room.

"How you feeling after...you know" I said. Billie doesn't like thinking about it so if we talk about it we can't be too obvious about it.

"So about that...I actually need to tell you something" she said while walking closer to me. She grabbed my hands and looked into my eyes.

"I killed her" she said in a low whisper. I was shocked. "I'm the reason she's dead." she told me, still looking me in the eyes.

"Why?" I asked her. "It was an accident I swear. I was walking around in our kitchen when she wrapped her arms around my neck. The closet thing to me was a knife so I grabbed it and I stabbed her. I wasn't trying to kill anyone I just thought that someone was trying to kill me so I did what I thought was smart and ended up killing her" she explained. Tears started to form in her eyes.

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" I asked her. "I was scared. I didn't want to tell anyone" she said.

"So you lied about where she died, how she died, and where you were when it happened" I said. "Yes I did and I know that was wrong but I didn't know what else to do" she said. Something didn't seem right. Why would Zoe break into our house and grab billie by her neck. Wait...I got an idea.

"Do you know if she was trying to kill you?" I asked her. "N-no she would never do that" she said starting to panic more.

"Well...let's check the security cameras we have" I said while taking her to another room. I found the footage from that day and we watched it.

"Wait..stop the video real quick" she told me. I stopped it and she looked closely.

"That's a gun in her pocket" she said. I looked closer and saw. "So she was trying to kill me" billie said, sounding hurt and surprised.

"You have her phone right?" I asked her. She nodded and grabbed it out her pocket. She handed it to me and i guessed her password. Surprisingly I got in. I looked through her messages and noticed there was one she was talking to an unknown person about.

I read through the texts. Zoe and this person have been planning on getting rid of billie for months.

"Look at this" I said to billie. She grabbed the phone and read through the messages.

"Why would she do that" she said. "She was probably jealous of you. But that's besides the point. You're in danger billie. The person she'd been texting knows everything about you. Including where you live." I told her. She looked at me with worry in her eyes.

"Well what do we do? This person is probably stalking me so even if I try to run away I'm gonna get caught and the police won't do anything but arrest me because there's proof I killed Zoe but no proof that this person is going after me" she said. "Easy. Tell everyone the story and if this person goes after you, end them." I said.

"I can't kill another person y/n." she said to me. "No I meant like-knock them out and call the police. Hopefully you won't get arrested they will" I explained. She looked a little scared but agreed eventually. I hope this dude isn't trying anything.
