4. The Return of the Suicidal Maniac

"So here's what we're gonna do." Armin said. "There's a lift that goes down to the supply room, a bunch of us will go down in the lift and lure the titans towards us. They'll be holding guns, and when all of the titans are in range, we'll shoot at their eyes, blinding them. Then, the top 10 cadets will jump in and take the titans down from behind."

"Great work Armin, this plan might actually work." Marco said.

"Let's just hope we won't have any lives lost during this plan." Jean said.

And with that, the plan began. Armin, Marco and a few others went down in the lift, while the top 10 cadets, (including myself), hid behind up in the ceiling, ready to kill the titans. There were only 9 titans in there, and we had just enough people for the job.
As I crouched down on one of the beams, I watched the lift as it came down. I could see the scared looks of the cadets when they were coming down. The lift then stopped at a height about the same as the titan's heads. The titans noticed them and they started to get closer. Some of them were getting close, too close. If they didn't shoot, then they're as good as dead. But not all 9 were close enough to shoot all at the same time, so they had to wait.

Luckily, all titans made it in range before anyone was killed. So the people in the lift shot at their eyes, and they had actually blinded them. That was our cue to jump down and kill them.

I jumped down and held my blades up above my head. When I got close to the titan's nape, I slashed it's nape and the thing went down.

That's when I heard someone shout, "Connie and Sasha missed!"

I looked to where Connie and Sasha were and there were 2 titans that looked like they were about to pick them up and eat them. But just in time, I saw Annie and Mikasa kill those titans like they were nothing. I'd expect nothing less from the two strongest girls in the 104th cadet corps.

"Thanks!" Sasha said, holding onto Mikasa and sobbing.

"Yeah, you saved our butts, thanks guys," Connie said.

"It was nothing," Annie said. "Just doing our job as soldiers."

I couldn't believe it actually worked. Everyone was cheering as they refilled their supplies. We were getting out alive.

A couple of us went up onto the roof to see how that titan was doing. He was still out there, trying to take down each and every one of them. I watched him take down one and roar before moving onto another.

"What is that thing?" Jean asked.

"It's a titan," Armin replied. "One that kills other titans."

"Is that even possible?" Bertholdt said.

"I guess it is," I said.

All of a sudden, the other titans started swarming him all at once. I watched the titans as they started ripping off pieces of his skin, and biting him.

"Are they... eating him?" Sasha asked.

"Guess the hunger got to their heads," Reiner said.

"No way..." I muttered, as they ripped his arms off.

He managed to get away, but he didn't last long. He walked a few steps, and then fell face first onto the ground. Smoke emitted from his body and went up into the air.

A body emerged from the nape of the titan's neck. I didn't believe what I was seeing at first. My body kind of just moved on it's own. Next thing I know I'm on top of the titan carcass and walking towards the body. I kneeled down in front of him, trying to figure out whether he was actually there or not. He then collapsed on me, so I wrapped my arms around him, dug my face into his neck, and started sobbing. I never in a million years would imagine that he would be a titan.
