18. Day Off

"Hey brats," Captain Levi said. Captain Levi, Eren and I were back at the base, cleaning up some things. It felt kind of... lonely.

"Yes sir," I say.

"You can have the day off, I'll finish up here." Captain Levi said. "Go on a date or something."

"Really?!" Eren said.

"Did you not hear me? I"m starting to think you're actually deaf, Yeager." Captain Levi replied.

"Shut up..." Eren mumbled.

"What was that?" Captain Levi said.

"Nothing, sorry sir!" Eren said.

I laughed a little and Eren said, "Now you shut up Y/n." Which only made me laugh more.

We went into my room and just sorta hung out. I thought a moment before saying, "We should do something."

"Like what?" Eren asked.

"I dunno..." I replied. "Have any ideas?"

Eren fell silent for a moment, but then his face lit up. "I know a place, hurry and get ready."

"Wait what?" I said. "Where are we going?"

Eren went out of my room and shouted, "You'll find out when we get there!"

I closed my door and thought about what I should wear. I had no idea where we were going, so how am I supposed to get ready?!

In the end, I decided on a light blue dress. This used to be my mother's dress, but my father said I could have after she had passed away.

I walked out of my room, and saw Eren standing beside my door. "You didn't have to dress so nice."

"Well, I have no idea where we're going. So I figured I should at least try to dress nice," I said, smirking at him. "Do I not look good?"

Eren smiled at me and said, "You look beautiful."

"Thanks," I replied. I then grabbed his hand and dragged him downstairs. "So, where are we going?"

Eren intertwined his fingers with mine and said, "I told you, you'll find out when we get there."

I groaned and said, "But I wanna know!"

"Quit whining," Eren replied, letting out a small laugh.

We walked through the forest outside the base. It was peaceful. I was enjoying our little walk when Eren suddenly stopped walking.
