"Eren!! Eren, you need to snap out of it!" I shouted. I was holding him in my arms, he didn't look like he was feeling well.

"I'll kill them," he replied. "I'll kill them all."

Armin and I looked at him, horrified. Mikasa was standing in front of us, trying to protect us from the scared faces that surrounded us.

"Eren..." I said, slowly unwrapping my arms around him. I stood up and backed up a little.

"See!" I heard Kitz Woermann say. I think he's some kind of big deal in the Garrison Regiment. I'm pretty sure he's a captain of some sort. "Even one of his little friends is scared of him! We need to hurry up and kill him! Get out of the way girl!"

"Over my dead body," Mikasa said. She looked really angry.

"Eren, what's wrong?" Armin asked Eren. There was no response from him.

"That's it," I said. I walked towards Eren, kneeled down in front of him, and slapped him.

"Y/n!" Armin said. "Was that really necessary?"

"Whatever," I replied. "At least he's coming back to his senses."

"Y/n... Armin... why does my face hurt?" he said, touching his cheek. "And... where are we? What happened?"

"Take a look around you," I replied.
He looked around, and within seconds he had a terrified look on his face. "Why are they pointing their guns at us?"

"You don't know?" Mikasa said, looking back at us.

"Because you're a titan, that's why!" Woermann said.

"What are you talking about?!" Eren replied. He looked at the ground, trying to remember everything that happened.

"Yeager!" Woermann yelled.

"Sir!" Eren replied, his head jerking up.

"Are you a human..." Woermann said. "Or are you a titan?"

Eren hesitated for a moment. That scared me. Why is he hesitating? He's obviously human. Right?

"What kind of a question is that?" Mikasa said, gritting her teeth. "Of course he's human!"

"That isn't your question to answer!" Rico Brzenska said. I'm guessing that she must also be important when it comes to the Garrison Regiment.

"Yeager! Are you a human or are you a titan?!" Woermann repeated.

"I'm human!" Eren shouted.

There it is. I knew Eren wasn't a titan, he's been human since the day I met him, better yet since he was born.
For some reason that didn't seem to convince Woermann. He slowly lifted his hand up.

"Mikasa!" Eren shouted. "Get over here!"

Mikasa rushed over to us, and kneeled down next to me. As soon as Woermann's hand went down, Eren bit his hand and I was blinded by this light. I closed my eyes and all I heard was this loud boom. That must've been the cannon on top of the wall. This is it, we're gonna die. I could hear the cannon ball coming toward us. I was ready for it to hit us, but something must've stopped it.
I opened my eyes and saw smoke all around me. The smoke cleared out just enough for me to see the huge titan behind me.

"Y/n!" I heard Eren say.

As he walked towards me I asked him,

"Eren! What is this? What happened?"

"I-" he started. "I don't really know, I just bit my hand and this titan appeared."

"So..." I said. "Are you really a titan?"
Eren looked me in the eyes and said, "Y/n... of course I'm not a titan. I just found out I had this power."

"Oh, ok." I had no idea why I was doubting him, he's my friend. I should trust him.

"Eren, Y/n!" Mikasa said. "Are you two ok?"

"We're fine, thanks," Eren said.

"What was that just now?" Armin asked.

"Apparently Eren turned into a titan to protect us," I replied.

"Oh wow," Armin said. "I didn't know you could do that."

"Me neither," Eren replied.

"Wha- What happened?!" I heard Woermann say.

"Listen Armin, do you think you have a plan to get us out of here?" Mikasa said.

"What? Why me?" Armin said.

"Don't act like you aren't the smartest person here," Eren said.

"Yeah, how about you try to convince them that Eren isn't a titan?" I said.

"I- I can't," Armin replied. "I don't know if I'll be able to do it."

"Armin," Eren said. He scooted a little closer to him and put his hands on his shoulders. "I know you can do it." Mikasa and I nodded to show that we agreed with Eren.

"But, what if it doesn't work?" Armin asked.

"It will work," Mikasa said.

"But if it actually doesn't work out," I said. "We'll go down together."

"Thanks guys," Armin said.

"We trust you'll get us out of this situation," Eren said.

"Ok, here I go." Armin walked out of the smoke and in sight of the soldiers. I couldn't see him, but I could hear everyone he was saying.

"Eren is not a threat to humanity!" Armin said.

"Oh yeah?!" Woermann said. "We just saw him turn into a titan right before our very eyes!"

"Look," Armin said. "I know you're scared, but you have to understand that Eren isn't a titan! He's been human since the very beginning!"

There wasn't a response from Woermann. I had no idea what was going on. Then, the smoke cleared out a bit and I saw his hand moving upwards. No not again, this time we're doomed for sure.

But before he could give the signal, someone stopped his hand. It was Dot Pixis, commander of the Garrison Regiment. He grabbed Woermann's wrist and gently put his arm down.

"That's quite enough." Pixis said.

"Pixis!" Woermann replied. "Wha- what are you doing here?!"

"Let's not kill anyone without knowing anything about them," Pixis replied. "After all, Eren here is a fine specimen. How about we hear him out."

I was relieved that Pixis came along, I thought we were dead meat. "Looks like we'll be able to live another day," I said.

"Yeah," Eren said. "Good thing he came along."
