"What do you mean he was taken into custody?!" I shouted at the soldier. "He didn't do anything wrong!"

"Y/n!" Armin said. "These people are just scared, they haven't seen what Eren can do yet. They've only heard the rumors."

"And the rumors are pretty bad," Mikasa added.

"Well let's tell them he isn't one of them!" I said.

"Y/n," Mikasa said. I could see that pitiful look in her eyes. "It won't be that easy."

"They're planning to judge him in court," Armin said.

"Wait really?!" I said.

"Yea," Armin said. "The military police want him executed, but the scouts are on the defensive."

"Really? The scouts are defending him?" I said.

"Yea," Mikasa replied.

"I'm guessing they plan to use his powers to save humanity or something," Armin said.

"Makes sense I guess," I said.

I looked down at the ground for a moment before saying, "Will I- I mean, will we get to see him again?"

Mikasa flashed a quick smile and said, "Yea, I'm pretty sure we will. I mean we're all joining the scouts right?"

"Yea," I muttered. "Wait, you guys are joining the scouts too?"

"Yup," Mikasa replied. "Eren didn't tell you?"

"I don't think he got the chance too..." I said, my voice trailing off.

"Hey," someone called out to us. We looked at where the voice came from and saw a soldier walking towards us. "You three are to come with me."

"And where are we going exactly?" I asked.

"You three are to appear in court for Yeager's trial," the soldier replied. "Come this way please."

The three of us followed the soldier to this wagon. We all got in and rode through the city to the courthouse.
"I assume the three of you are protecting Yeager, right?" the soldier said, attempting to break the silence.

"Yes," Armin replied. "He's our friend."

"I see," the soldier replied.
I could tell the guy really didn't like Eren. I guess Armin was right... you can't blame them, they're just scared.

We soon arrived at the courthouse, and it was huge, and really fancy too. "Wow," was all that managed to come out of my mouth.

"You said it," Armin said.

"Please, follow me inside." the soldier said.

So we all followed the soldier inside and saw a bunch more soldiers walking around.

"L/n, Ackerman, and Arlert," Rico said. You three are to stand on the defensive side. Please follow me."

As we were walking towards the courtroom Rico said, "You three are part of this trial because you guys were some of the closest to Eren during the last mission. So I suggest you stay quiet and only talk when spoken to."

"Right," we replied.

We stopped in front of this door, and then Rico looked back at us and said, "Oh and no lying or denying anything. I know he's your friend, and you'd do anything to protect him, but you can't lie or you'll probably be executed too."
Executed? Just for lying about something? I mean, it is wrong to lie in a courtroom... but do they really need to execute people for that? Why not put me in jail or something?

"Alright, come on in," Rico said.

Rico opened the door and we saw a bunch of soldiers walking around taking their places.

"Wow," Mikasa said. "Everyone is here huh?"

"Yup," Rico replied. "That's how important this is. C'mon."

We followed her to a spot behind this railing near the front of the room. "So, when is this thing gonna start?" Armin asked.

"When everyone gets here," Rico said. "That's when they'll bring out Eren."

"Will we get a chance to talk to him?" I said.

"I don't think so, maybe after the trial," she then turned her head to look directly in front of her before saying, "That is if he doesn't end up dying today."

I looked down at my feet, hopefully that never happens.

Mikasa put her hand on my shoulder and said, "Don't worry Y/n, there's no way Eren's dying today. I'll make sure of it."

"Thanks Mikasa," I said, looking back and smiling at her.

"Let him in," the judge said. The judge was Dhalis Zachary, he was the Commander-in-Chief of the three regiments.

I anxiously waited for the doors to open, I'd give anything to get a chance to see Eren again.

Suddenly the doors opened, and Eren walked in. His hands were handcuffed behind his back, and a couple soldiers walked behind him. They walked him to the middle of the room, set Eren down on his knees, and put in a pole in between his handcuffs and his hands, so now Eren was handcuffed to the pole.

"We will now begin the trial," Zachary said.
