Aaron and Eric have been gone for awhile now. That's normal though because they are scouts. I lie down on my bed glancing towards the window. Enid is sitting in the yard reading a magazine. She's pretty, and her long brown hair shines underneath the sun.

I don't like to talk to the people here. They don't understand what it's like outside the walls, and they are weak. I roll over onto the opposite side of my bed and shut my eyes.

----------------------------------------------
I felt a soft pat on my shoulder when I heard "Y/n. Can we talk?". I turn around to see Enid standing beside my bed. I rubbed the sleep from eyes and nodded. She smiled and walked outside.

"There is a new group here. Rick Grimes is the leader. They've been out there since the beginning like me and you." she whispered while slowly twirly her hair. "Do you know how many there are?" I needed to know.

"No but they're supposed to be a large group. Maybe we should go meet them." Enid said softly. "Sure." I grinned and we walked towards the front gates.

When we approached the gates I saw a group of dirty survivors. They had been through a lot, just like I had. Suddenly I noticed a boy my age looking right at me. I haven't seen someone this attractive in a long time. I smiled a small smile and looked down at my shoes.

Once the group had given up their weapons the boy approached me. "Hi, I'm Carl." he stuck his hand out for a shake. "I'm y/n" I could feel my cheeks blushing. We talked for a little while, but soon he had to go and clean up. Little did he know, I'm already head over heels for him.
