I awoke with the sun shining through the small holes in the building. I turned to see Carl standing beside a window watching for anyone or anything.

"If you need to rest you can. I can take watch." I must've startled him because he jumped and turned quickly towards me. "I'm fine, I don't need to sleep. We just need to keep moving." he insisted.

I grabbed my things and we started to trek through the woods. I have no idea where we are going or what our plan is. "Where are we even heading?"

"I don't know, wherever we end up I guess." He kept looking forward and didn't look back. We walked for awhile not speaking to each other and I fought off tears that demanded to be let loose. Eventually they streamed down my cheeks and blurred my vision, but Carl didn't notice because he never once looked back.

Since Judith has been missing he won't really talk to me. I understand he is drowning is sorrow but pushing me away is going to kill us both. I feel like he doesn't even care about me anymore like maybe I'm just used for his pleasure. I fight off tears again and keep walking slowly behind him.

Summer was slowly fading to fall and the leaves fluttered towards the ground but the temperatures where still very warm. We came upon a run down gas station and decided we should clean up.

"I need some privacy, so I'm going to go in the boys room, you can go in the girls. Yell if you need anything." I turned slowly and walked into the bathroom. I checked each stall and it was clear. I looked at my reflection in the mirror and tears filled my eyes again. I'm a spitting image of my mother, and seeing my resemblance makes me cry.

I grabbed a bottle of water and a napkin and cleaned the blood and dirt from my face.

(**If you've played Walking Dead Season 2, the gas station is a reference to that. I highly recommend playing season 1 and 2. It's a great game and worth the money**)

I pulled a hairbrush from my bag and began to comb my hair and pulled it back into a tight ponytail. Once I had finished cleaning up I walked outside to wait on Carl. I sat down on a bench and stared off into the distance for a little while.

Suddenly I heard the faint footsteps of a person. Assuming it was a walker I slowly turned around and grabbed my knife only to be stabbed in the arm with another. I felt my body tingle and give below me. My eyesight began to fade in and out.
