Chapter Thirty Four Rough Roads Ahead

We grabbed everything we could and packed into in bags. We managed to get a lot but it wasn't going to be enough. We needed to go, and it needed to be now.

"They're getting closer." Kaden said while peering out the window. "I've never seen this many before. There has to be hundreds, maybe even thousands." You could see the look of fear on his face.

"Is it even possible to have that many of them in a group?" Kyle asked.

"Yeah, it's happened to me before." Carl lowered his head and looked upset. "We need to go, now."

We headed out the back door, I felt extremely slowed down because of the weight of the bag and Phoenix. I only had a few more yards until I reached the vehicle and the 4 of threw everything into it. Carl jumped in the drivers seat, and Kyle, Kaden and I piled ourselves into the vehicle. Holding Phoenix in my arms we drove away from the one place that actually felt like it would last as a safe home.

As the trees rushed by the windows I began to reflect on my life. I'm holding my daughter whom my mother and father never got to meet. I brought a life into this cruel world, and for a moment I regret it.

"We don't have enough supplies to last us more than 2 days. We couldn't get everything." Kyle finally interrupted the silence. "We have to find some stuff."

"Everywhere around here has been scavenged completely." I shook my head.

"Atlanta hasn't." Kaden replied.

"Atlanta? Do you know how dangerous Atlanta is?" I remarked.

"Yeah, but right now it's our only option y/n. We either die trying, or die doing nothing." Kaden was trying to convince me and I saw that we needed this.

"There's a shed up ahead, we could crash there for the night." Carl broke the conversation with his proposal.

We brought some necessary things into the shed and settled down. Phoenix would not stop crying and I just couldn't get her to calm down.

"I'll take her. You and Carl just relax. We will go on a walk." Kaden implied as he grabbed Phoenix and Kyle and the three of them set off for a walk.

"Y/n." Carl whispered.

"Yeah?"

"We haven't had sex in a long time.."

"I know." I said as I turned to him and unbuttoned his shirt while kissing his lips deeply. "I miss you being inside me." I whispered into his ear.

I felt his boner start to budge through his pants and I began to kiss down his body. Before I knew it, he had me thrown on my back and ripped my pants off.

"God I've missed this." He smirked. He put himself inside me immediately and began to thrust slowly, and then faster.

It felt so good. I was moaning and pulling on his hair. Soon enough he pulled his penis out and came on my stomach. "That was amazing." He kissed me again.
