We continued to drive down the roads not seeing any signs of life what so ever. Our food is beginning to run low and we've been on the road for nearly 4 months. My stomach is beginning to swell with the new life inside me and I am certain that without special help, I'm going to have trouble delivering this baby.

I glanced around the car looking for a CD case hoping to end this miserable silence that has fell upon Carl and I. I looked for a little while but didn't find one.

"Carl." I looked over towards him.

"Yeah?" he looked over at me.

Tears began to fill my eyes because I miss our relationship. I miss hugging him and knowing everything would be okay. The car slowed to a stop and he placed his hand on my thigh.

"Y/n what is it?" He looked worried.

"I don't think I can have this baby without medical help. We don't have any supplies, no suction tubes, no diapers, formula, blankets. No home."

He placed his hand on my stomach and rubbed slowly in a circular motion. "Y/n, it's going to be okay. We are a family and we will make a home for us."

I felt a small smile begin to appear on my face and I kissed his lips. They were soft, warm and relaxing. I felt his lips form a smile and I pulled back. "I love you." I laughed a little and he did too. "I love you too babe."

"We will find a home and raise our baby together." His smile reassured me. I think we will be okay.
