I didn't tell anyone about my dream and I don't plan on it. I'm being crazy. I'm better now, and my leg has healed a little. It still aches but it is getting better and I can walk without a problem now.

I walked along the side of the road taking in the warm summer breeze. Imagining that everything is okay. Flowers bloomed inside the wall and the sun shine on my skin.

My moment of everything being okay was interrupted by the sudden screams of people in the community. I looked behind me to see large masses of people running towards me. My heart sank as I stood in confusion.

"RUN WALKERS!" I hear the dreadful screams from people in the crowd. I stand still peering behind the crowd were I see walkers devouring people that didn't escape in time. How did they get here so quick. It's impossible they got here this quickly.

Some were walking towards me but I couldn't bring myself to run. I stood in their path and for a split second I was just going to give up. I was quickly grabbed by Daryl and he swung me over his shoulder.

Daryl was running as fast as he could to Rick's place.

"How did they get in Daryl?" I said calmly.

"I don't know." I could sense the fear in his voice.

"Where's Carl?" The realization that he could be among the people that were being devoured made my stomach turn in tight knots.

"Pretty sure he's back at the house." He struggled to speak as he was running so hard.

We approached the house and Daryl let me down. I glanced around the room to see everyone in Rick's group accounted for. Carl ran to me and picked me up. Tears rushed down my face as I began to worry what would happen next.

"Carl, take Judith and Y/n and get to the bridge that's about 70 miles out from here. We will meet you there." Rick tossed Carl keys to a car and I grabbed Judith.

"The gate? That's how they got in! How are we supposed to get out?" Carl said panicking.

"It's open. Someone knocked a wall down but they did it in a clever way. They opened the gate and the walkers are past it. You can get out. GO!" Rick yelled.

We ran to the car outside Rick's house and I jumped into the passenger seat. I held onto Judith tightly as she screamed into my chest. Carl started the car and floored it.

We sped through the community towards the gates that were, just like his dad said, clear of walkers and people. In that moment we sped off quickly towards the bridge that's hard to miss.

Once we were around 40 miles out Carl slowed the driving and I relaxed. Judith fell asleep in my arms and I held her close to me. Tears slowly ran down my face and I watched as "safety" drifted further and further away.

"Carl." my voice was scratchy from the tears. He didn't know I was crying.

He hit the breaks and pulled to the side of the road. "Y/n, it's going to be okay. We are going to be okay." he leaned towards me and kissed my cheek.

"I'm so scared." Tears rushed from my eyes and I couldn't hold it back anymore.

"I'm going to keep you both safe. You guys are my life and I'll never let anything happen to either one of you." he wrapped both arms around me and kissed my lips slowly. "We need to keep going to the bridge." I nodded and we began to drive again.
