I laid in bed and prayed it was my last night sleeping on this piece of shit ass mattress.

"Why you don't talk?" My new cell mate said

"I don't want to?" I said

"You don't have to get smart."

"I answered your question." I said

"With an attitude. Ain't nobody did shit to you." She said

"Are you trying to prove yourself or something? You been in here all of what? 4 hours?" I said

"I ain't gotta prove myself. Bitches know not to fuck with me." She said standing up.

"Girl sit your weak ass down. Don't nobody in here know you."

"Who you talking to?" She said stepping closer to my bed

"Listen I got court in the morning and I'm not trying to have any reason to stay here any longer so I'm going to let you have that." I said

"You ain't letting me have shit. You know better than to get up." She said

I just stayed quiet and turned to face her. Now I'm going to have to sleep with one eye open.

"PRICE!" I heard an officer yell. I got out of my bed and walked to the door. It was opened and I walked out meeting a guard.

"Your lawyers here." She said

"I spoke with him earlier." I said

"He wants to speak to you." She said

I followed her out of the unit and down the hall. We went to the same room I just spoke to Tim in hours ago. I looked and saw Mikah, Mr. Price, Anthony and Cameron sitting with Tim.

"Thank you Tia." Tim said to the officer.

"You got about 57 minutes until we have to turn the cameras back on." She said before closing the door.

"What's going on?" I asked

"Well as I just told your family I got word that they're bringing witnesses." Tim said

"Okay?" I said

"Do y'all have anybody other than family that can say that y'all are good people?" He asked

"I got some friends." Mikah said

"My homeboys already coming." Anthony said

"Yeah my boys gone be there." Cameron said

"I can ask Keisha." I said

"How many you need?" Mr. Price asked

"They're bringing in 16 different people that have said they've witnessed the crimes you've done." Tim said

I look around the room for cameras or anything else.

"I double checked that the cameras are off." Tim said

"What about the girl?" I asked

"She snuck you in here didn't she?" He said

"Tim you know us and you know we wouldn't be stupid." I said

"I know that but these people coming out of nowhere claiming to see what y'all have done is going to convince the jury that y'all actually did all that shit." He said
