"I'm sorry about what my mom said." Jalen said

"It's not your fault." I said

"Perfect. He looks like a certified snitch." Cameron said as he looked over Jalen in his police outfit

"Shut up." I told him

"Okay so remember you just got transferred from LA. Your chief is Chief Ryles. You're 22 years old with one child." Detective Brown told him.

"I know I know." Jalen said

"Whatever you do don't go anywhere with them without letting us know." I told him

"I won't." He said

"Let's go." Detective Brown said

I watched as they walked out the door. It's was 7 in the morning and everyone was still sleeping except me and Cameron. I feel like I've only slept 2 hours in the last 3 days.

"You need to get some sleep." Cam told me

"Huh? No I'm good." I said

"Bae you getting bags under your eyes. You not good."

"I'll sleep when Jalen is safe. I would hate for something to happen to him when I put him up to this." I said

"Well you didn't really put him up to this. He asked to help."

"And his mama clearly didn't want him to." I said

"Look baby Jalen gone be okay. I'll stay up until he come back. Just get some rest." He said

"I'll just take a quick nap." She said. She walked to the couch and laid down.

Jalen

I walked into the police station looking around at everyone.

"You'll be right here." Detective Brown told me.

I sat at the desk and started looking through the fake files.

"New Guy?" I heard a voice say above me. I looked up and saw the guy from the pictures they showed me.

"Yeah, just transferred." I told him.

"Well I'm Officer Williams. If you need anything just let me know." He said

I nodded and looked down at the paperwork. I'm shaking like hell but I'm gonna figure out who took her away from me.

I kept looking over the papers over and over and I'm still not finding any connecting. I look over Officer Williams family and see that the information about his mom doesn't exist. His father records go all the way back to 1963 but theres not even a name of his mother.

"I thought you were supposed to be sleeping?" I heard Cameron behind me.

"I tried and I just can't sleep."

"Take some melatonin." He said

"I will but look. All this shit on this officers dad but nothing on his mom." I said

"Maybe his mom was never in his life."

"But when he graduated training he thanked his mom and dad for always being there for him. So all her records got erased." I said

"WE GOT A HIT!" Big Anthony said walking in the house.

"What is it?!?" I said

He put some paper on the table and I picked it up and saw pictures of Malaya being dragged away. The picture zoomed in on the person dragging her away. It was a white person.
