Kamiya

We were currently at the police station and they wanted to take a statement from me and Cameron.

"When was the last time you saw your daughter?" Officer White asked

"I checked on her at maybe midnight before I went to bed." Cameron said

"Did you hear any-" She stopped talking because another officer came and whispered in her ear. He gave her a envelope before walking away and she nodded before her head dropped.

"A body as been recovered and the dna from the clothing matches your daughter." She said

I felt my heart shatter. I watched as she pulled out the 'Malaysia' necklace from the envelope. I cried into Cameron arms as my body stared to shake.

"I'm sorry for your loss." She said

"Can we see the body?" Cameron asked

"Yes but I have to warn you. The body is badly burned." She said

"I wanna see it. I want to make sure it's my daughter." I said

"Right this way." She stood up. We followed her around the station and we ended up in front of a curtain.

She knocked on the window and the curtain opened. I saw my baby lying across that table burned. I cried my eyes out into Cams arms.

"They did and autopsy and the cause of death was strangulation." She said

I didn't wanna hear anymore. I couldn't take it.
I looked at the body again and felt my body to limb.

Malaya

I was still home with my brothers and aunt and uncle waiting for my mom and dad to come back. I called Lori over because I couldn't stop crying and I needed someone I knew would comfort me.

"It's still a chance it's not her." Lori said

"I hope it's not. I can't lost my twin." I said. I looked behind me and saw Marcus shaking his leg and Anthony was just focused on his phone like he didn't care.

"Ant?"

"What?" He looked up at me

"Why you so calm?" I asked

"Cause y'all doing all this crying and shit and Malaysia probably ran off with that boy and they living it up somewhere." He said

"Even if she did she's still missing. She's not home and nobody can get in touch with her." I said

"So you ain't worried at all?" Marcus asked him

"Nah Malaysia strong." He said

Hearing him say that not know if she's alive or dead made me blood boil.

"Fuck is you here for then? Everybody over here stressed and worried about her. Even Lori here worried and she not even related to us. You over there on your fucking phone probably texting hoes while our sister missing." I said

"Malaya." Aunt Jamila said

"Sorry for cursing but it's not sitting right with me that he ain't worried."

"Fuck you mean it ain't sitting right with you? You think I did something?" He said standing.

I stood up and walked over to him.

"I don't know. Maybe. Maybe one of you little hoes did it. You be fucking with any and every bitch around here. You could have been fucking with the enemy." I said

"Malaya get the fuck out my face." He said

"Bitch get the fuck out our house since you don't care." I said

The front door opened and my parents walked in. I looked at their faces and knew.

"No." I said falling to the ground.

I hear everyone cries get louder. I can't believe it. I feel numb, like a piece of me is gone.

"Are you sure?" Uncle Mikah asked

"It was her body and her dna. She's gone." My mom said making me cry harder.

I got off the ground and walked upstairs. I went into her bedroom and laid on her bed. It still smelled like her favorite perfume. Her bedroom door opened and my mom and Lori walked in. Lori came and sat on the ground beside me while my mom sat at the foot of the bed.

"I'm here for you Laya." Lori said

"Who could have done this? Why Malaysia? She didn't bother anybody." I said

"People are malicious. You never know what they're plotting against you." My mom said

"What do we do?" I asked her

"I... I don't know. We have to plan her funeral." She said

"I can't go." I said

"I know this gone be hard and it's gone be hard on all of us but you know she'll want you there." She said

"The news is talking about it." Lori said

My mom took the remote and turned the tv on.

"The body recovered had been identified as 17-year-old Malaysia Price. Police found the body in the woods earlier today. Prayers go out to the family and friends of Ms. Price."

"This isn't right. It doesn't feel right." I said

My phone rung and I saw that it was Jalen calling. I ignored it because I knew he was gonna ask if I was okay and I would start crying all over again.

We heard a loud bang downstairs which made up jump and run down. I saw my dad over Anthony and Anthony had blood from his mouth and his eye was swollen shut.

"Cam what the fuck?!" My mom yelled running to Anthony.

My dad took his keys and walked out the door slamming it shut.

"What happened?" I asked Marcus.

"He been talking crazy."

"Crazy like what?" My mom asked

"He said she probably ran away with Trell and got her dumb ass caught up." Uncle Mikah said

"Why would you say that?" My mom asked him before standing up from him.

"I didn't mean it like that. Y'all know how obsessed she was with him." Anthony said while holding his stomach.

Just hearing him talk made me wanna sleep the shit out of him.

"I'm gonna go see where Cam went." My mom said

"You want me to take the girls?" Aunt Jamila boyfriend asked her

"You not taking my daughter with you." Uncle Mikah said

"Mikah don't start this." Aunt Jamila said "It's fine. You and Luna can go. I'll meet up with y'all tomorrow. Thank you for being here."

"Call me if you need anything." He told her before kissing her and taking his daughter I suppose.

"Yeah this is really personal so I'm gonna go." Shana said

"Ok." Was all Uncle Mikah said

I looked over on the way and saw the pictures of me and Malaysia. I tear up again realizing that we wouldn't get to do that again. I couldn't go to her room to pick with her. I can't take pictures with her. I can't get ready for school with her. I lost her.

Latrell

I watched the news and hearing that Malaysia was gone broke my heart. I know I ain't shit but I really love her.

"Nigga you crying?" Greg said while pushing me

I couldn't even talk. I should have acted right when she was here. I should have loved her like she loved me. I should have treated her like the queen she was. Now I'll never get the chance to do that.
