I was going back to school today and I really didn't want to. I knew Trell probably would have something to say to me.
My mom dropped me off in the front and I walked through the double doors. As I walked through the hall it felt weird without Malaya walking in with me.
"Malaysia." I heard my name being called and turned. I saw Jalen walking towards me with a bag.
"Can you give this to Malaya? I forgot to give it to her." He said handing the bag over.
"Jalen don't try to play my sister." I told him.
"Me? Tryna play Malaya? I'm not Trell." He said with a smile
"Yeah real funny." I said snatching the bag from him. I turned and walked down the hall towards my class.
"Wassup Laysia." I turned to my right and saw Trell standing there waiting.
"Oh." I said before continuing to walk. He walked up and stood in front of me.
"Did you see my text?"
"Yep." I said
"So why didn't you respond?" He asked
"Because I'm not giving you another chance to make me look stupid. My family lost their trust in me. I'm not going through that shit anymore." I said trying to walk around him.
"Malaysia please give me another chance. You know I don't do this begging shit but baby I need you. I told you that you the only woman I need in my life. I can't live without you." He said
"Shut up."
"Baby I'm serious. When I lost you it broke my heart. I really love you." I looked up at him and he had tears in his eyes. I've never seen him cry, actually I don't think anyone has seen him cry.
"Trell." I said pulling him into a hug. He wrapped his arms around me tight.
"Please don't leave me anymore." He whispered in my ear.
Maybe that gunshot did something. Maybe he realized what he had.
"I won't."
