We had gotten to the jail house to pick up Marcus and Aunt Jamila since they were the only ones that got an actual bail.

Once they walked out they got into the truck and Jalen drove away from the building.

"Okay so I spoke to Keisha and Giovanni and they said they would do what they could to help." I said turning to them

"Malaya just let the adults handle this." Marcus said

"Okay so what have y'all be doing so far?" I asked

"We just go out." Marcus said

"Where's my children?" Aunt Jamila asked

"Lea had a doctors appointment so Mike took her." I said

"Just take me to where they are." She said

"Well they should be on their way back to my our house." I said

"Okay." She said

"Lea or Mike can't leave aunt mila." I said

"Malaya hush I can take my children." She said

"No my mom said it's safer for them to stay with us." I said

"Mike can stay all he wants. He's an adult but I'm taking Lea home with me." She said

"But my mom said s-"

"I don't give a fuck what your mom said. I'm taking Lea home with me and I'm not about to argue with a fucking child about my own child." She said with the worst attitude

"What's wrong with you?" Malaysia asked

"Turn around in that seat and mind your business." Aunt Mila said

"Aunt Mila I understand you just got out of jail but you don't have to talk to us like that." I said

"I just got arrested for y'all parents bullshit while my daughter has leukemia. I don't give a fuck right now." She said

"She has cancer?" Malaysia said

"Didn't I just say she had Leukemia Malaysia?" She said which made me turn and bite my tongue. It was taking a lot for my to not respond.

"It wasn't just my parents. You and uncle Mikah got arrested too." Malaysia said

"For the bullshit y'all parents been doing. Why y'all think I'm not still in jail?" Aunt Mila said

"You not about to put all this on my parents." I said

"Y'all really don't know y'all parents." She said before rolling her eyes.

"I do know my parents would do anything to protect their family, including you. So you can't sit here and put everything on them." I said

"They we're trafficking drugs Malaya. Your parents are not innocent people." Jamila said

"Neither are you." I said

"I've never done the shit that they do." Jamila said

"With all due respect you not about to sit in my face and talk down about my parents. The same people that would drop everything to help the people they love. Especially my mama. The same woman that's been treating you like her own since I could remember. Every time you or uncle Mikah get into some bullshit she's the first person y'all call so don't sit here and talk down about my fucking mama." I said letting all my frustration out.

"Who the fuck you cursing at like that?" She responded

"I said with all due respect." I said

"You better watch your mouth. Be angry all you want but tone it down when you talking to me." She said
