"Well I met his people today." I told Nyre and Lana.

"For real? How was it?" She asked

"His brother seemed like he liked me but his brothers wife acted like me and her had beef."

"Maybe they got a thing for each other. Y'all remember Madeas Funeral? I'm telling you, y'all better watch." Lana said

"No I think she's just really protective over him."

"Why would she be protective over her husbands brother?" Nyre asked

"Well because she came into his life when he was 16 and he never had a mother so she just stuck onto him like a mother would." I said

"What happened to his real mother?" Lana asked

"I don't know. Whenever I bring it up he just says don't worry about it."

"Umm I don't know. That seem a little weird to me because he won't tell you about his real mother but calls his brothers wife his mom. Is this not strange to you?" Lana said

"I mean she's kinda right. I'm sure that'll be weird in their family tree." Nyre said

"Well it's not weird. You just have to understand his situation to understand the meaning of him calling her his mom." I said

"Enlighten us."

"I'm not about to tell y'all all his nor his family business but just know I understand and still love him."

"Well if you're happy then we're happy for you." Nyre said

"Yeah I can see all in your face that he makes you happy."

"He does. I've never felt like this with anyone else. It's just the way he treats me and he's like one of those hood guys that's really sweet to their lady. And his loyalty to me is incredible. When we're out he won't even look in the direction of another female. It's like I always have his undivided attention."

"See a man like that is hard to come across." Lana said

"That's exactly why I can't wait to marry him and start a family with him."

"Have you met his children yet?" Nyre asked

"No but he's bringing his son to meet me today." I said

"How do you think it's going to go?" Lana asked

"Hopefully he'll like me."

"Is that him?" Lana asked pointing behind me. I turned and saw Mikah walked into the restaurant with a boy that looked just like him. I stood and walked over to them. I held my arms out and he pulled me into a hug.

"You- I- I'm bout to call my mama cause you crazy." Mikah son said.

"Me and your mama already talked now come sit down." Mikah told him.

We all walked to the table and sat.

"Ladies this is Mikah and Mike, Mike and Mikah this is Lana and Nyre."
