Me and Jalen got back to my house and I showed him where he would be staying.

"You okay?" I asked as we both sat on the bed.

"It's not the first time." He said

"I know but I know it must hurt like hell to have your mom pick a man over you every time."I said

"It did but after the 3rd time I stopped caring. She never loved or cared about me. My dumbass kept trying." He said

"Jalen there's nothing wrong with wanted a good relationship with your mom."

"It is when she don't want a relationship with me. Then she sat there in your mama face and acted like she cared about me. If I didn't have a job I would go days without eating." He said

"Why didn't you tell me that?" I asked

"Because I didn't want you to think I'm some bum ass nigga like Latrell." He said

"I wouldn't have thought that. But what happened to all the money your dad left y'all?"

"She spent it and let her boyfriends spend it. All of its gone and the house bout to be gone too." He said

"Jalen you know me and my family care about you. We would have helped you out." I said

"Y'all already doing enough." He said

"Okay well listen now that you're living here, you're apart of the family so don't be scared to ask for anything." I said

"Can I get a kiss?" He asked

"Yes but I meant like food and stuff." I said before kissing his lips.

"I love you." He said

"I love you too."

"You think they'll let me bring a bed in here?" I asked Cameron

"No. Just go home and get some sleep. I'll be here with her." He said

"I can't. Last time I left she went missing." I said

"But I'm right here."

"Cam you were right upstairs the first time." I said

"What you trying to say?" He asked

"I'm trying to say that I should have been there. I always check on them throughout the night and the one night I didn't she went missing." I said

"Baby this isn't your fault." He said

"I'm not saying it is, I'm saying that if I would have been there I probably could have stopped it." I said

"Well you-" he stopped talking when we heard a small cough come from Malaysia.

I stared at her as she started to move. I immediately called the nurse and she rushed in.

"Can I get Dr. Morris to 2032?" She said on her little device. "Unfortunately you guys will have to leave the room."

I went over to walk Trell up and we all walked out. We stood at the door and watched through the window as they worked on Malaysia.

A nursed turn to the window and shut the blinds.

"Bitch." I said

"Baby you gotta let them do their job." Cameron said

"She ain't have to close them like that." I said

"Have you talked to your sister?" He asked as we walked to the waiting area.
