I had finally gotten to speak with my lawyer and I was hoping it was good news.

"Your trial is getting pushed up." He said as soon as I sat down.

"What? How?"

"Apparently whatever your father in law did to that judge back in the day really got him pissed. He wants to have y'all in prison as soon as possible." He said

"This can't be legal."

"In theory it's not but somehow he found ways to do so." He said

"So when's the trial?" I asked

"Monday."

"In two fucking days?"

"I know that's why I asked to speak with all of you guys but they won't allow it." He said

"Okay what do I need to do to the the least amount of time. I need to get back to my kids." I said

"There is a plea deal for you and your son. For you it'll be 15 years of prison time and 6 years probation. For your son it's 5 years with 2 years probation. The judge will grant you this but only if um..." he paused

"If what?"

"If you testify against your husband and father in law." He said

"No."

"All you have to do is say that you and your son had nothing to do with this. That you had no idea what your husband and father in law were doing." He said

"How long will I get if I don't?"

"The max is 35 years and with your family's history the judge is going to go for the max." He said

"How long will they get if I testify against them?" I asked

"Mrs. Price you have to think about your children. You have 4 kids that need you on the outside. You don't want them to live 35 years without their mother would you?" He asked

"How many years would they get?"

"Well um... your husband is facing 60 years while your father in law is facing life." He said

"What the FUCK kind of lawyer are you?! That's the best you can fucking do? Even if I do testify I'll have to serve 15 fucking years." I said

"I'm doing my best. You know how many charged they wanted to put against y'all? They have murder charges they're investigating and trying to pin all of them on y'all. You brother in laws is facing the death penalty. At some point you're going to have to think for yourself." He said

"Death penalty? For fucking what?!"

"His DNA was found at a murder scene!" He said

"He didn't fucking- GET THE FUCK OUT!" I yelled frustrated.

"Mrs. Price I am warning you that I'm the best you got right now. Nobody in this state will take on this case. I'm your last option." He said

"I know somebody. Leave all of my paperwork with my family's important documents please." I said

"You'll regret this." He said before storming out.

"Mrs. Price?" I heard behind me. I turned and saw a guard standing at the door.

"Yes?"

"You have a visitor." She said before moving to the side. Cameron came into view and walked into the room. The guard closed the door and Cam came to sit in front of me.

"How are you over here?" I asked

"Money talks baby." He said

"I fired our lawyer." I said
