Jades POV
"Cooommmmeee ooooonnnnn jaaaaadddeee!" London whines
" no, no ,no ABSOLUTELY NOT!" I yell
Carnivals... Fun, food, rides, horrifying rides, music and scamming games that's my definition of it, oh I also forgot your friends drag you onto rides you never wanted to go on in the first place
" jade come on it'll be fun" James says walking towards the end of the line
" nope nooooope never ever in a billion years" I say stepping away from my friends
" come on, the cyclone isn't scary I've been on it a million times" Derek says pulling me towards the ride
I wriggle out of his grasp and walk to a bench near the ride...
I really hate that ride, it's a horrible experience for me, the cyclone is basically spinning around in a basket thingy with 20 or so other people and there's only two bars there for you to hold onto! Per person of course... But I will not risk it, I hate rides like that... Just so happens that all my friends love rides like that, just great
I see Derek, London and James talk to Each other then Derek runs to me
" hey scaredy cat" he says sitting next to me
" I'm not going on that ride" I say
" not making you"
I look at Derek in confusion, he not making me? Then why is he here?

" I'm here to say, if you don't come on this ride with me London and James you'll have to play five nights at Freddy's, by yourself and film it AND put it on YouTube"
I go wide eyed,I hate five nights at Freddy's I jump at the phone call! It's so creepy! Ugh!!! Why does it have to be that! I hate horror!
" Derek"
" yes?" He says smirking
" that's basically making me go on the ride"
" I know so what's your decision?"
" ugh coming" I groan
He grabs my arm and drags me over to the ride and to where London and James are standing
" finally!" James yells
" I hate you all"
I cross my arms and face away from them
I could bolt now... And they wouldn't chase after me... They wouldn't dare miss this ride
I look towards them and see none of them looking at me and that's when I do it... I bolt, dodging people in my way I find a nearby tree I can rest on
We are near the woods are we not? And yes I know what you'd thinking.. But you live in London where would there be a forest? Or the woods or whatever you call it.. Well i live 20 minutes away from London, the outskirts that is... So there is a bit of forest where I live...
I pull out my phone and laugh at all the messages there are

Derek: WHAT THE HELLL!!! WHERE ARE U!
London: WHY DID YOU RUN OFF LIKE THAT!
James: we didn't realise till we got off the ride... And WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU!?!?

Have I seriously run for more than twenty minutes! Well I think the ride goes for 20 minutes... Or was it ten? I don't remember... But there reactions. Are. Priceless.

Jade: don't worry guys 😂 I'm perfectly fine... I just did a runner so I wouldn't go on that stupid ride and you seriously didn't notice me till AFTER THE RIDE! God great friends I have....

Derek: 😞 sorry

London: 😂sorry

James: sorry not sorry

Jade: don't find me I'll find you...

Derek: too late
London: to late
James: first of all Derek wrong to and jade to late

I look at the texts confused then look up from my phone to see Derek, James and London at different places in the crowd looking at me slightly pissed off, I wave awkwardly before trying to walk away but by the time I do They've already run to me

" hey guys" I say awkwardly
I face them and they look at me really annoyed
" hey never wanted to go on the ride anyway AND why are you pissed at me I should be pissed at you guys YOU DIDNT REALISE I WAS GONE TILL AFTER THE STUPID RIDE!!" I yell
" you ran off" Derek says his arms crossed
" yeah well you gave me two choices, run or go on the ride!"
He looks at me with one eyebrow raised
" ugh come on let's just go do something! As funny as this was I'm bored now" I whine
James and London start to walk away towards another ride or to food or whatever, I try to walk with them but I'm pulled back towards Derek
" never do that again" he says sternly
I thought Derek was protective but not Your a little kid and I'm your parent protective
" ok dad" I say sarcastically
He smiles and starts to laugh, I grab his hand then run to James and London

Time skip!

" well today was fun.." I laugh
It's almost sunset and me Derek were walking by the edge of the woods, not where the carnival was though we're just down the road from that mad my bag is stuffed with candy and Derek seeming kinda unsure about something... Oh and James and London left a couple hours before us so yeah
" yeah it was wasn't it" Derek sighs
" is something wrong? And if it is you know you can tell me"
He looks around then grabs my hand
" follow me"
I don't reply but I do what he says, he pulls me through the forest/woods until we find a clearing... A gorgeous clearing, a small lake reflecting the colours of the sky, trees surrounding the clearing all the same, it's amazing
I walk around the clearing forgetting Derek was there and just stop stunned
" how did you find this place?" I aSk
" I didn't find it my mum did, when I was a kid mum would bring me and Fiona here, Fiona was to young to remember so she's forgotten this place, but me I haven't I come here sometimes when I miss my mum, when I need a reminder of her. And it always stays like this, it's like it's magic or something, the grass never grows and nothing's put out of place which reminds me..." He trails off
He walks over to one of the trees and picks something up, something small and fairly familiar...when he walks closer to me I see what it is and put my hand over my mouth
" I keep forgetting to give this back to you, I know we were 5 when I took it by accident but, I know you love this so here.." He says
He extends his hand and I see I was correct, it's my rag doll bunny... The bunny I had when I was little, It was still in tact slightly off white fur that isn't fluffy, still has one eye missing and... it's just the same
I slowly take my hand off my mouth and pick it up out of Derek's hand, I start to cry tears of joy
I can't believe It, it's still in tact... It's not lost forever...
I wrap my arms around Derek startling him slightly and smile
" thank you" I whisper
" your welcome" he whispers back
He hugs me back eventually and we just stay like that for a minute or two, my head on his chest, his chin on my head, the sun setting... It would be a perfect movie wouldn't it... If only
" Derek..." I say
" mmhm" he replies
" my arms are tired" I say
He laughs and let's go of me and I do so to him

Derek's POV
I'm glad I showed jade this place... It's one of my favourite places on earth and I'm so glad I gave jade back the doll... I don't know what I would do with it If I hadn't given it back
I sit down on the grass and jade does the same thing only she leans on me when she's sitting down
" Derek why did you bring me here?" Jade asks
I stumble for words
I can't tell her, I shouldn't tell her... I won't tell her... The whole truth
" my mum said when I was younger that I can only bring one person ever to this place, unless their family but when it's family I mean like my dad or fiona, but anyway she said to bring one person and one person only and I decided"
" that person was me" she cuts me off
" yeah," I laugh
I didn't tell her that my mum actually said that I can only bring one person... That I truly love and I know that that person is jade
" bout time you tell me all your secrets" she laughs back
We start to laugh together and we watch the sun set
" not all my secrets" I say
She looks at me raising an eyebrow then starts to laugh
" I'll find them out"
" sure you will"
She starts to hum an unfamiliar song then notices my staring
" what?" She laughs
" your humming, I don't know the song, it's killing me" I whine moving my head each time I pause
She laughs and pushes my head to where it was normally making me laugh
" it's Called shut up and dance, funnily enough I'm doing a dance to it in dance" she laughs
I laugh too then my phone goes off telling me someone's texted me

Unknown: it's me matt. We need to talk bout the sing project I will only sing to one song only, boulevard of broken dreams by green day, oh and tell jade to stay sexy, I assume your with her like always

I groan and lay back on to the ground
" what is it? What's wrong?" Jade asks
" ugh someone gave matt my number and well just read this" I say
I hand my phone to her and I swear I can see her eyes turn red,
" I hate him.... Well at least he chose a song you like" she says
" yeah I like the song but I can't sing the song! Plus I really wanted to sing something else UGH!"
I stand up and help jade up too
" we better go" I sigh
She agrees and we leave
