" we need to talk" he says leaving the door wide open and walking into the room

" what about" I say unimpressed

He glares at me before walking over to me
" anyway you have to change your attitude, you keep constantly embarrassing me and I'm sick of it" he says sternly
I look up at him in utter shock
Why would he say that... I'm his best friend
" I've always acted like this and you've never had a problem with me before"
" well that's before I grew up and you should too" he says
This shatters my heart...
" you said you never wanted to grow up," I whisper tears forming in the corner of my eyes
" well not anymore, matt.."
" MATT!?! Matt!!! YOU SAID YOU HATED MATT!!! You said you hated him as much as I do! You said he was a jerk! And now your best friends with him! YOU DIDNT GROW UP HE CHANGED YOU! I stand up off my bed so I can speak to him face to face, stares down to me seeming pretty angry but then again I'm furious
" I'm not a baby anymore jade, neither are you so stop acting like one" he growls
" no ! No! Never! I am FINE WITH HOW THE HELL I ACT! You should be too! You used to act like me! So I'm asking again! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE DEREK MCNALLY IVE KNOW FOR MY WHOLE LIFE! The one who did judo with me! The one who pretends to be fictional characters! The one who promised he would always be there for me!" I yell tears streaming down my face
He doesn't look sympathetic one bit

That's when I snap, I raise my hand and slap him in the face

He blames me for his mums disappearance...
More tears stream down my face, he looks at me and it's like his old self finally comes back, but it's to late.. He's already said it
" wait jade I didn't mean.." He pauses backing up towards the door.
" get out! Get out of my room! Get out of my house! get out of my life! I HATE YOU! " I scream
I pull the locket off my neck and throw it on the floor infront of Derek
" and take your stupid locket with you" I say before slamming the door in his face
I walk back to my bed crying my eyes out,I open my laptop and see the yin yang symbol and start to cry more
He broke my heart, I don't think I can ever forgive him

Derek's POV
" get out! Get out of my room! Get out of my house! Get out of my life!"
She screams
Her hand reaches for the locket I gave her and she rips it off her neck and throws it to the floor right infront of me
" and take your stupid locket with you!"
And with that she slams the door in my face,
WELL DONE DICK HEAD! YOU JUST LOST YOUR BEST FRIEND! I TOLD YOU NOT TO HANG OUT WITH MATT BUT DID YOU FUCKING LISTEN TO ME!?

Tears start to stream down my face, I pick up the locket and sit down beside the door

" Derek... Are you ok? We heard everything.." I hear someone say quietly
I look up to see Fiona, Alisha, James and London in the hall
"No, I hurt my best friend, I... I... I can't function without her in my life, I can't believe how much of a dick I was to her.... I should of never hung out with matt I would rather fail than have what happened today" I cry
I put my head in my hands and start to cry more
Someone puts their arm on my shoulder and I look up to see Fiona looking at me sympathetically
" she won't stay mad at you forever"

She looks to my hand and sees the locket, or the chain to the locket
" no I don't" she sighs " guys can we talk in private?" She asks the others
They nod their heads and walk down stairs
" you love her don't you? You've had a crush on her for a while haven't you" she whispers
I nod my head and open the locket, I see the picture of me and her on the slime day and smile
" I do I really Do... And I fu... I mean messed up big time"
She laughs at my comment then stands up and outstretches her hand to me
" first of all, I'm not a little kid I've heard that word before and second of all it'll be fine... You just need to apologise to her" she says
" how? She won't talk to me after what I said and I don't blame her" I sigh
We walk down stairs and everyone looks at me, well London, James,Alisha and jades mum... I assume Michael made a run for it like usual
jades mum stands up and walks over to me putting her hand on my shoulder
" I know you Derek,I could also see you were changing, I knew you couldn't and I know it's hard on you that this is happening but it's also extremely hard on my daughter, she needs you to be there for her... But now you can't so you need to show her your yourself again and show her your truly sorry" she says
She removes her hand then walks upstairs probably into jades room,
" she wants me out of her life..." I whisper

Jades POV
I'm startled by a knock at my door
" go away" I croak
The door opens anyway and my mum walks in, after closing the door she slowly walks to my bed
" sweetheart... I know your upset but there's more to him just saying he wish he'd never met you. Isn't there?" She says sweetly
She sits next to me and hugs me
Should I tell her? Can she tell? What do I do?... Tell her
" yes..." I whisper
" you love him don't you" she whispers back
I nod my head then cry into my knees
" I love him, more than anything... Well I did, he changed he's not himself, well not till after he yelled at me, he... He... He tried to apologise but I didn't let him it was then he looked like he was back to normal and that just makes me feel even worse" I say
But is probably sounded like gibberish since I was talking into my knees, my mum rubs my back telling me it's all ok it happens to everyone, everyone gets their Hearts broken
I didn't just get my heart broken, I lost my best friend
I lift my head up and look towards my mum
" he promised he would be there for me... He promised" I choke out
" sweetheart... Do you want to something?" She asks
I nod my head and she takes a deep breath
" when I was your age I was in the same situation with your father... Except he kissed a girl I hated, he was doing it for revenge for something I had done by accident, we were 16 we did stupid things, even if we didnt realise... Just like you and Derek, you can stay mad at him for as long as you want but eventually you will have to forgive him, who knows you could end up like me and your father" she says
" you mean Ill be at home taking care of three children and two others with the eldest of both children upset and Derek off at war... No thank you" I laugh
She smiles then stands up and walks to the door, she turns around then frowns, I frown too I have no idea what's bothering her
" you may not like it but Derek has to sleep some where tonight... So can he stay in here? Of course I'll have to ask him, but..."
I sigh
" sure" I whisper
I may be mad but not cold hearted I still have some feeling for him... I just hope he still cares about me...
