Thursday.. 1 day till the end of term
Derek's POV
" Fiona! You need to get up! There's school today!" I yell
Wow I'm up earlier than Fiona for once... That's very bad, I don't wake up early unless I'm really feeling unwell... Or someone wakes me up...
I hear a groan then thud, she's out of bed, now the task of getting her down stairs...
" Fiona don't make me come up there!" I yell again
I sound so much like dad Right now... DAD! I can call dad! I forgot! I'm such an idiot!
" FIONA IM CALLING DAD!" I yell
Immediately Fiona runs downstairs
" you better not be joking" she says through her teeth
" no I'm not I need his advice with the whole jade situation" I say
I grab my laptop and Skype dad... And he actually answers
" Derek! Fiona! What a wonderful surprise!" He cheers
I smile as Fiona starts to cry tears of joy
" I guess you weren't expecting either fi-fi" he says
Fi-fi is dads nickname for Fiona, when Fiona was a little kid she couldn't say her name properly so she called herself fi fi and that's been dads nickname for her ever since
Fiona shakes her head then smiles, I guess she's been waiting along time to hear him call her fi fi
" anyway um dad I need to talk to you about something pretty big" I say
Dad leans back and almost falls over which makes me and Fiona laugh
" if it's about what I think it's about I already talked to both of you about this thing" he say
" oh GOD NO! No I need your advice... Me and jade got in a really big fight and now she won't talk to me at all" I sigh
Fiona checks the time on her phone then goes wide eyed
" ah I need to get to school! Sorry daddy love you, bye" she says running up to her room
" I'll wake her up if she falls asleep again" I laugh
My dad laughs too but then goes to a serious face, looking around I assume it's for jades dad... He would not like it if he found out me and jade had a fight...
He doesn't really like me... But then again I'm a boy who hangs out with his daughter so of course he'd be a bit annoyed at me, what dad wouldn't..
" so what's this with you and jade?" He whispers
I lean back in my chair and rub my eyes
" I was being a douce, this guy that me and jade hate were partners for a music assignment because our teacher forced us,
I started to hang out with him, I turned into a douce bag who cares about himself, told jade to grow up, that I would be better off if I hadn't of met her and that mum might still be here...
That's when I went back to normal but it was to late. Jade was furious at me and threw the locket I got her at me then said she hated me...
I tried to talk to her yesterday but she didn't talk to me and now I feel like shit and just wish I could re do that day with the partners...
I would rather fail than lose jade but it's to late, the final exams tomorrow I can't sing the bloody song that the guy chose and jade hates my guts... So either way I'm screwed" I say
" so why don't you change the song?" Dad ask
I look at him confused and he chuckles
" change the song, do a solo instead of a duo, do a song to show jade you care about her more than anything a song she loves" he laughs
I smile at dad then thank him before signing off and getting ready for school

Time skip

" your doing WHAT?!" Matt yells
" a solo, I'm not singing with you and I've already asked mr Asher and he approves of it dick head" I say
I just called matt halva a dickhead... Smart move, NOW RUN!!!
" what did you just call me?" He says in a threatening tone
" you heard me doucebag. Oh and you will stay away from jade or I'm gonna knock you out" I say
" ok Derek your crazy! I'm just gonna start writing you will now" James says
Matt step towards me, hands in fists, face red with rage and I think I can see a vain on his head...
" you think you can defeat me... Are you nuts" he threatens
James pulls me away from Matt, but not before I punch Matt in the nose
" that answer you question" I say
Me and James just start laughing, I punched Matt in the nose and got away with it... Sweet victory,
I think tomorrow... I'll have my best friend back
