Friday...
I stand at the gate infront of the high school.
Where is he?! Where is he?!? It's the first day of school! He told me he would be here!! He's an hour late!
I continue to look around for my best friend, Derek McNally... The slightly annoying, dark haired, extremely tall, annoyingly late! Best friend of me, jade kattina the extremely artistic, hipstery, perfectionist who hates School without Derek!
" he better be here or I'll kill him" I mumble looking at my phone
I've sent him like 50 texts! I can see he's read them!! So Where is he!!
I continue to scroll on my phone until a person steps infront of me and Taps on my shoulder.
" excuse me can you please move I'm waiting for my friend" I say still watching my phone
Jade: WHERE ARE YOU DEREK IM GONNA KILL YOU IF YOU DONT COME TO SCHOOL!!!
At that moment I hear the chime of a phone and look up to see Derek right infront of me, staring.
"Took you long enough to look up" he says a smirk tugging at his lips
" were you seriously staring at me the whole time you creep!" I laugh hitting him in the arm
He just shrugs and starts to walk into the school, I groan and follow behind.
" why won't you answer my question!" I whine
" because it's funny to see you whine and I'm pure evil mwha ha ha!" He says walking ahead of me
I swear I can see the devil horns sprouting on his head! we continue to walk around till the school bell rings.
" finally I was starting to get bored" Derek groans as we walk to the assembly hall.
" Bored !? With me? How dare you!" I yell in a posh accent faking being hurt, We look around and see people staring at us like we're crazy and we burst out laughing.
" ok ok I take it back!" He says between laughs
We calm down ever so slightly, walking into the assembly hall. we sit down in our usual seats seeing as we've been at this school for 3 years now.
after about half an hour of people walking in and staring at us for our random out bursts of laughter, the school principal steps onto the stage starting his Annual speech for all new students. which me and Derek don't listen to and start to whisper to each other.
" so jade, you think your gonna find him?" Derek asks
" doubt it, the last three were busts and or fakes so I doubt I'll find the right one this year, but wadda bout you dere-boo, do ya think ya gonna find her?" I mock
He glares at me, his first response to me calling him Dere-boo, I know he hates being called that but his reactions always so funny!! I can't help myself I have to laugh.
I hold back my laughter by putting both hands over my mouth while Derek still glared at me but then his glare softens and his lips turn into a smirk.
... Not that I was looking at his lips, it's not like I wanna kiss him...
" I told you never to call me Dere-boo again... Jadey-wadey" he whispers
I drop my hands and look at him dead in the eyes, I hate that name
" I hate you"
He laughs In response
" liar"
" your lucky your my best friend or I would of killed you" I threaten
He laughs again and faces towards the front.
" why are you so annoying" I whisper shout still facing him
