"Oh my, you look so beautiful sweetheart" Hailey said letting a tear escape, Lucie chuckles "don't cry mom, you will ruin your makeup", Hailey smiles "we wouldn't want that would we?". Lucie laughs "no, not on your wedding day, you can cry after, its a special day", Hailey smiles "your definitely right there, I can't believe we're actually getting married, it still seems so unreal".
Lucie smiles and hugs her as she says sweetly to her mom "well it's real, and I'm so happy for you mom, you really do deserve all the happiness you can get", Hailey smiles and kisses her daughters head "the day wouldn't be as perfect without you, look at you, your so pretty in that dress". The two hug a bit more until Gabby appears in the door way with a huge smile on her face.
"God you two look amazing" Dawson says as she enters the room, Lucie smiles and runs over to gabby and hugs her "thanks gabby, you don't look to bad yourself" the three of them laugh. Lucie then asks "can I go and see Hayden real quick", Hailey rolls her eyes "yes, ok but quickly", Gabby jokes "who knows, maybe she will catch the bouquet, wedding bells". Hailey playfully punches Dawsons arm.
"Wow, you, you look stunning" Hayden says kinds struggling for words as he sees Lucie walk towards him in her white dress with a pink bow around it, she smiles back and replies "your looking pretty dapper yourself". Hayden smiles and kisses her on the lips "nowhere near as good as you though, your beautiful".
30 minutes later
"We are gathered together here to unite this man, Jay Halstead and this woman, Hailey Upton in the bonds of matrimony" the vicor says and everyone in the room smiles
He then adds "Do you take Hailey Upton to be your lawfully wedded wife?
If so answer with I do"
Jay smiles as he looks at Hailey and he says the two words he was dying to say for what seemed like a lifetime "I do"
The vicor then smiles and turns to Hailey and continues "Do you take Jay Halstead to be your lawfully wedded husband?
If so answer with I do"
Hailey smiles widely and feels a tear trying to escape as she looks into Jay's eyes "I do"
The vicor then finishes off "By the authority vested in me by the State of Chicago I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride"
And just like that Jay kisses Hailey on the lips but everyone in the room could tell, this kiss for a hell of a lot more passionate, it wasn't just a little peck, it was a full on kiss from two people who were madly in love with each other, people who did stupid things because they were blinded by the love they had for one and other.
"I love you Mrs Halstead" Jay says as he wears a smirk, Hailey smiles back at him and kisses his lips again as she replies "I love you too Mr Halstead" the don't get long before Lucie comes running up to them "yessss, I love you both so much". Hailey smiles and kisses her daughter on the head, Jay picks her up and says warmly "we love you too".
30 minutes later
"where is Lucie? I thought she would want to say goodbye before we go" Hailey asks as she looks at her friends curiously Sylvie sighs and answers "my guess is she is avoiding you" Hailey looks up at her confused "avoiding me, but why?". Gabby answers the question for Brett "you and Jay have just got married and now your going to your honeymoon, which doesn't include her, she is going to miss you bur maybe she feels like she is going to be forgotten, you know, once you leave with Jay".
Sylvie nods her head and Hailey then feels a hint of sadness before she pulls herself together and says "I'm going to find her, tell Jay ill be with him shortly, but I have something I need to do" Dawson smiles and nods. Hailey then walks off in her wedding dress searching for her daughter, it didn't take her long to find her.
She was bawling her eyes out in Haydens arms in a room at the back of the church, Haileys smile turns to a frown "sweetheart, please don't cry", Lucie lifts her head up from Hayden and says back and shock "I thought you had left". Hailey smiles, she then looks at Hayden and asks "could we have a moment alone? please Hayden" the boy nods and walks off.
"I was abouts to leave but then I couldn't help think about my baby girl, who just happened to not be around, or say goodbye, I'm not leaving like that, your my little girl, my princess" Hailey says warmly as she places her hand on her daughters, Lucie looks up with tears in her eyes "I'm sorry mom". Hailey smiles and wipes the tears using her thumb "sshh, sshh, it's okay kitten".
Lucie then callapses into her moms arms and cries like a baby, Hailey continues to stroke the sad girls hear and kisses her forehead "what made you feel like this? Why do you think I'm going to forget you?" she questions. Lucie sobs "it's stupid" Hailey continues to comfort her daughter as she replies "it's not stupid if it makes you upset".
"some kids from school are saying that you will forget about me, and so will Jay, since your no longer a Upton now" the girl sobs out and she clings onto her mom afraid of losing her. Hailey feels her heart break and she replies back instantly "sweetheart, no, no that's so wrong, I love you, and Jay does, just because I am a Halstead now it doesn't change the fact that I was a Upton, I still am, deep down, inside that's who I am, and no change of surname is going to make me love you any less, your my little girl and always will be, I'm never going to forget you".
Lucie sobs back "you promise", Hailey smiles "I promise, and even though I'm going on my honeymoon, I'm not going to stop thinking about you and I'm definitely not gonna stop worrying about you, I will speak to you everyday, I promise you, and you know I don't break my promises, I keep my word".
