Chapter 6 (Bonding Time)

Hailey lays in her bed under the duvet asleep but then she gets woken up by the sound of crying, she gets up immediately and runs straight to Lucies room where she sees the girl sitting up in the bed, bawling her eyes out "hey sweetheart, it's okay, calm down" Hailey says and then adds with a question "bad dream?"

The little girl nods her head and continues to cry, Hailey then reasurres the girl "hey its okay, its not real, your safe, do you want to sleep with me?" Luciana nods her head as she still cries. Hailey then goes to get the girl out but that makes the girl panic and she jeeps trying to back away.

Hailey looks at her in a worried way and asks concerned "hey its alright kitten, tell me what's wrong", the small girl sobs out "p, p, promise, n, n, not be, m, mad". Hailey mots her head and replies back "I promise sweetheart, I promise", just then the little girl takes the duvet off her slightly and that's when Hailey sees what the problem is.

Hailey smiles at the girl and says reassuringly "hey its alright, so you wet the bed, big deal, it was bound to happen at some point, I'm not really surprised to be honest sweetness". The young girl looks at her confused and sobs back "y, you, n, n, not mad", Hailey shakes her head and answers "nope, how about we get you cleaned up though, yea?"

1 hour later

Hailey carries Luciana from the bathroom, she places the young girl on Haileys big double bed, she continues to dry the girl of with a towel and then gets her into some clean pyjamas (a pink and purple onesie"). Hailey then lays the girl down and puts the duvet over her, and then she lays in the bed herself.

The young girl gets closer and closer to Hailey and cuddles up to her, Luciana just felt so much safer around this woman, she was also nice and warm she was like a heater. Hailey smiles as she looks at the girl cuddling into her side, she closes her eyes like the little girl is already doing.

Hailey soon falls back to sleep and so does Lucie, they are no more distractions and the two have a good sleep. When Hailey does wake up she checks her phone to see the time, what a lay in they had, it was almost 11am. Hailey gets out and goes to the kitchen to make herself a cup of coffee.

While she sips on the coffee it ain't long before a small girl makes her way into Kitchen holding her pink fluffy unicorn, Hailey smiles sweetly and the little girl and asks "feeling better?" the little girl nods her head. Hailey then asks "do you fancy going out today, maybe go and have breakfast out, and go and do something fun".

The little girls smile widens and she jumps up and down and answers in excitement and for the first time without a stutter "yes yes yes". Hailey looks at her in a proud expression and says "ok then, shall we get ready then?", the little girl smiles and nods her head and then asks again without a stutter "mommy help me?".

Hailey smile widens as she hears that one word, it must made her so happy 'mommy', Hailey couldn't believe it, she really was her mom. She then answers 'her daughter' "yes kitten, ill help, now come on, let's get you ready", Hailey carries the girl upstairs and then helps her get dressed into some white leggings and a ocean blue top with pink butterflies on it.

When they are both ready and dressed, Hailey carries the girl back downstairs and to the car, Luciana is placed into the booster seat and buckled in. Hailey then goes to the front of the car and starts the engine and begins to drive to a cafe so the two could have breakfast.

When they are at the cafe Hailey tells Lucie to sit down at the table and asks what she wants, Luciana points at a picture on the menu, Hailey smiles and replies "chocolate chip pancakes it is". While Hailey orders the food and drinks, Lucie struggles to sit down still for that length of time and so gets up, she starts to wonder around the cafe.

The young girl then sees some sort of machine thing and she stands there staring at it, not really tall enough to see the screen so she didn't have a clue what it was. She keeps trying to stand on her tiptoes but even that wasn't doing any good, she tries to jump but she still couldn't see the screen 'what is it' the girl thinks to herself.

Meanwhile Hailey stands at the checkout and soon after gets given the two plates and the two drinks, as she turns round to place them on the table she sees that Lucie isn't sat there. She places the food and drinks down on the table but panics, she starts running round the cafe like a headless chicken.

Suddenly Hailey then spots the girl, she has a sigh of relief and runs up to her "Luciana, when I say, stay at the table I mean stay at the table, don't do that again" Hailey says in a stern voice but also tried not to scare the girl too much. Just then Lucie turns around and says quietly "sowwy", Hailey smiles and replies back "it's okay, now come on, are foods ready".

Just as they both go to make there way back to table Lucie grabs ahold of Haileys hand and asks "what this thing?", Hailey turns back around and looks at the machine Luciana is referring too, she smiles and then answers the girl "it's a jukebox, it has loads of songs on it". The little girl smiles slightly and then says "me pick song".

Hailey smiles and nods her head, she picks the girl up and then Lucie looks at the screen she was trying to see before, she couldn't really make it out though and then looked back at Hailey. Hailey smiles and asks "you want me to pick one?", the girl nods her head, Hailey then slots some money in and then picks a song.

She then carries the girl back to the table where to two sit and eat there breakfast while the song Hailey picked plays. The little girl smiles as age eats her pancakes, Hailey chuckles a little as she looks at the girl who managed to get most of the chocolate on her face. Lucie then says to Hailey "mommy, me sticky", Hailey lets out a laugh and replies "I'm not surprised, don't worry though, we will get you cleaned up after"
